This is super smart. I have a lot of burnt out splices. Hopefully this will fix the problem

Using a lighter to burn the poly off and wrapping the wire works best.

Thank you sir, this won't even entail me having to buy yet another thingie for my fence project. I already have some aluminum wire. Wish you the best staying ahead of your property taxes, surrounded by $uch development.

I should have used copper wire for this although I'm not sure how well it would weather...

Do you think its possible to use the Electric Fence Trident Poly Wire to fence up for farm geese? I was thinking of running a single line about 1 foot off the ground.

I'm not sure how secure a single line of wire would be for Geese. If they have enough room to get a little hop. They may be able to escape. I've always seen chicken wire used for this purpose. JMO...

So for splicing you have used just knots before, nothing like a bolt or metal piece? Just this little wire piece now?

With this type of fencing you just need to tie it. I do recommend using a piece of copper wire twisted around the splice to get a better connection.

If you experiment with different types of knots you can eliminate arcing without doing that.

That sounds wonderful Growmap. What knots do you have in mind?
