Stumbled on your channel a few weeks ago and am absolutely loving your videos. Informative, humorous and real. Has really inspired me to be more curious in my garden. Thank you for taking the time to make this content :)

Hi Ruth Gulikson, it’s an absolute pleasure to inspire, the vids were my kids idea a few years ago, I’m a bit of a recluse, don’t meet many people so, the internet has been a godsend, I’m on a mission to fill the flowers 🌻thanks so much for the message, all the best of luck Robbie 🌻

Sorry to say but that face mask really does look like a posing pouch! I hope you didnt get it 2nd hand from ebay! :-) Quick geranium question - the sweet geranium with the amazing scented leaves, is that a true geranium or a pelagonium?

Hi Crudburger, the sweet geraniums are pelargonium, geranium macrorrhizum are the cranesbill geraniums with the scented leaves and I’m pretty sure this is where the confusion came from when naming plants many years ago. They look similarish and both have scented leaves, but are from different families of plants.

@@stinkyditchnursery750 thank you sir, will be making some strawberry and geranium jam later in the year and if it turns out a success there will be a jar on its way to the nursery for your toast and to splodge on vanilla ice cream. Have a great day :-)

Love your clear explanation to everything. What slow release fertiliser do you use for general use?

Hi Stephen Thomas, I use Q4 pellets. It’s available online and in a few hardware shops. They did have it in Homebase but my local shop has shut down. Google Q4 and I’m sure some suppliers will come up. All the best Robbie 🌻

If I dig up a 5+ year old big geranium from the ground, do the split parts need to go into a pot after splitting or can the split parts go straight into the ground in the new locations? Thanks for the video.

Hi Nicola W, straight into the ground in their new homes is always best, fill the new hole with water and let it drain and then give them a good watering after planting. They may look a bit sorry for themselves for a week or so but will pick up in the end. I hope this is of some help Robbie 🌻

Love the thong!!😅 Unrelated question, Can I propagate a rhododendron cutting now while they're in bloom?
@stinkyditchnursery750

Hi Nicola Ni..., yes you can, so long as you don’t use flowering growth, pinch out the growing tips and trim the leaves a bit, they are a bit like hydrangeas cuttings, I did a vid on that a few years ago so should be in the back catalogue somewhere, I really need to tidy up the KZitem channel! I hope this helps Robbie 🌻

@@stinkyditchnursery750 I have seen that video, Thank you! Although I think its actually a Camellia but I'd assume the same process for propagation?

@@nicolanimhaolmhana6583 a camellia in flower now makes a lot more sense! I was wondering where you were in the world, with the KZitem messages i don’t know if people are in summer or winter! The Australians are in autumn now! But a rhododendron in flower now?, but yes just treat it the same as a hydrangeas and do loads of cuttings, maybe 15-20 odd if you can, just to ensure a few will strike. All the best of luck Robbie 🌻
