Wow this is so cool, Kay! I have never even entertained the idea of doing this myself, but you are tempting me to give it a shot. Especially with shipping costs of international special editions, this seems like a great way to give my own little beauty makeover to my books. Loved this video!!

Love it! I've been thinking about trying this myself with stencils for that added uniqueness. We'll see how it works! It's honestly the idea of finding a press that's been stopping me, but you make a good point of thrifting it. Or maybe Andrew can whip one together for me. We'll see!

I’d love to see how yours turn out with the stencils Tricia! I’m sure Andrew can whip something up for you. I know Home Depot here has employees who will help cut wood for you. So if you have something like that nearby you could ask them to cut the plywood and then get 4 clamps. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

Awesome video Kay! Very neat idea and the end result looks great IMO. I think the clamping is critical, especially to prevent the paint bleeding onto the pages

Thank you! I'm glad they turned out as good as they did consider they were my first attempts. Agreed, getting that fast spraying motion with the spray paint is also a big help.

What did you use for the base clear coat? Im considering trying that out on my books!

I used the clear matte Ultra Cover from Rust-Oleum I believe is the company name. You can see the bottle at 5:56 to 5:59 if that helps. Good luck with your book and spraying the edges!
