Finally someone walks us through the process of actually stacking images. Everyone else seams to skip this. No idea why. Good work.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I just decided to get outside for the first time with my camera to take some pictures of the sky. After a few youtube tutorials, I was happy with the pictures. I had NO IDEA how much better they were going to get after working through this tutorial with you! Thank you so much! Can't wait to share them :)

@@PepsiMTG Hey there, I shared them on my personal FB a while back, but don't really have a dedicated page for that kind of content. I can send you a PM with them if you want to check them out :)

Very interesting. I have been using SIRIL for about a year now. Works extremely well and I always make and use biases, darks and flats. I have now started to experiment with dark flats. I image with a DSLR. I don't think your grouping of images from multi-night sessions will work when calibration frames are added into the equation. Each session should be run with its own set of calibration frames to ensure any minor differences from each nightly session are taken care of. The trick is to then take those pp _lights and put them together to register and stack. Have you tried anything with calibration frames included in the process? Do you know if the GIMP scripts are available in English? Thanks for the video tutorial. There is always something to learn. I'm glad I subscribed to your channel.

Thanks for the instructions on Siril, plus I learned something with regard to renaming multiple images even if they have same name & you have to rename them so they aren’t replaced mistakenly by a newer file with same name as your original image. Again, much thanks. Clear Skies My Brothers & Sisters In Astrophotography…

Your comment about a lot of information from many pictures, starting from single pictures with little information is very true. I would add that, it’s amazing what results you can get from software that is completely free.
