This is a bit small for 3 years. I think the pot is too small. If you don't have an arsh winter. It's best to put it outside in the soil. I use a fence I have nearby as a stake so I don't hurt the roots.

Have you seen any of his other videos? Have you looked at the channel name? Stop assuming you are an expert and he is a novice. He probably pruned it. His channel literally revolves around growing avocado trees.

Trim it, the less support an avocado tree needs the better I think

It really depends what your goals are. THis is not a lanky tree, and I want to to continue to grow branches - but it's trunk needs a little support while this happens. It's standard practice across the industry, too.

@@ScottGrowsanAvocadoTree I just like not having to support my avocado trees, I'll prune them from a seedling to promote a thick stock and grow branches. It seems sometimes whatever you do, mother nature has her own way. I enjoy your videos, keep them coming!
