clean (a motor vehicle) intensively and minutely. is one of the definitions of detail. yes theres a difference. but detail cleaning most of the time just means intense cleaning of the entire thing. instead of just surface cleaning.

@@startingtech3900 it’s not greed if your skills are improving as well. It will be a rule of mine that my prices go up every year at least 5%. Cost of living increases and not only that, when you aren’t getting paid what you are worth, the burnout will come a lot quicker.

During peak season revenue easily reaches 18-20k a month, with a 3 man crew, two tech that now how to do paint correction, pretty easy with a, DA, wool pad, and aggressive compound, and one that just helps doing the easy stuff. A 3 man crew with a 7am to 3:30pm 5 days a week works the best

@@OTbuilds damn that sucks, when I was solo it did suck doing a full detail, shampoo and paint correction, would even take up to 12hrs, but yea definitely try to find a young buck that you can minimum wage, I mean everyone knows how to vacuum and scrubs tires, and then just teach them the ropes. With today’s DAs within a week they will at least know how to do at least a one step polish, and how to detail interiors and what to look for and how to approach the car

How many coatings do you average? I charge $780+ just the correction. Coatings usually start around $1450 our best seller I’m selling it for $2300 for a 7 year paint coating, glass, & wheels/trim

I agree with others in the comments ive worked mobile car washing and it can get entry level intense but usually doesn’t, detailing though goes more in depth with things such as but not limited to, grime and crease cleaning, leather painting, leather restoration, interior paint correction, body paint correction, engine cleaning, dent removal. Theres not an exact fine line between the two but there’s definitely a difference, the price being one if the bigger ones

these are car washers. A detailer is on a whole other level. a detail goes more in depth and can take up to 4-12 hours.

A “Detail” is a service. A detailer is someone who provides a “detail” service. These “car washers” also provide detail services, making them detailers. The quality of work determines whether they are good or bad detailers. But they are detailers none the less

That is interesting. But here's the important question, what are they averaging per hour? I do GH, UE, and DD full time in Florida and make $5,600-$6,000 a month. I average $25hr-$30hr. I'll be signing up because why not? I have a million gig apps already, can't hurt to add another to diversify further.

Hey man! I started mobile wash business alongside my pressure washing business in Northern Cal. Why would I need a generator or water tank? I don’t have those two, but everything else. I have a question dude. Lets say you just started. Someone hits you up for a car wash with wax. Would you tell them you dont do waxes because you still dont know to apply it or would you jyst say yeah I know how to do it and then just do it on the spot ? What would you do ?

One thing I can't understand on some car wash aka detailing set ups .guys will have a awesome tank set up nice hose's and clamps ..But then have a crappy pressure washer.seen time n time again.electric pressure washer never all gas .but hey whatever gets the job done
