Great video chief. The startup course for this is a winner... l want to do a courier with a cargo but those cargos are extra expensive in this inflated/rip-off economy. If I knew for sure l would holdup decently wouldn't be a prob.. so this can be a go to. I think l have the answer, but how well you think a junk removal service would hold up in a recession or depression??? Another thing some of us have to remember, where to park the trailer safely. Great value.

@@creativemanifestation8295 The junk removal business is recession proof, because people always accumulate junk. It's an affordable service, because you don't have to refinance the house to do it. Most jobs are within a few hundred dollars, so it's an easy spend. It really is a great business model, I'm just too lazy to do it everyday 😁

I would also suggest going to Harbor Freight, pick a cheap carpet shampooer to get things started and offer to remove furniture and shampoo carpets for apartments and realtors. If you go with a cheap carpet shampooer though don't scrimp on the shampoo. Get something good with OxiClean in it or something so you're able to maximize the performance of the cheap shampooer and get repeat business.

In columbus ohio - can you dump mattresses tires etc? whats the best way to find out this info or should I just call all the places and price out? What do you recommend?

I never tried to dump tires, and wouldn't recommend collecting them. Most dumps won't accept tires or chemicals. Call the local refuse dumps in the Columbus area, and they will tell you what you can't dump.

How would a person determine how much to charge for haul?
@boss-lyfe
2 жыл бұрын
You will always ask for a picture of the stuff so you can give them a quote. Once you know how much a ton will cost to dump in your area, you'll have to estimate the weight of what needs to be hauled away. After a couple of dumps, you'll get an idea of what a ton is. You can easily fill a dump trailer and not be a ton, it depends on what your hauling. If it's a lot of metal, then you won't be dumping it, you can recycle it and get a nice piece of money from the recycling center.

Send quotas to other company in your area, act like a customer

I would make a list of popular items to pick up for customers and have a set price for them. Plus a calculated gas charge based on mileage. If you have a website it would be very easy to add an itemized calculator to it so prospective customers can diy their quote estimates, put their addresses in and it'll add the mileage to the quote as well. Be sure to boldly state on the estimate tool that any unforeseen items will be added extra to the final bill at time of pickup.

Can you do it in a decommissioned school bus?

I'm not sure how that would work out, or if it's even allowed. Also, fuel cost would be high 🤔

@JRABBITTT It's up to you, but I always wait for the job to be done. Bring a receipt book with you, and say, "Will you be paying cash or check?" It will break the awkwardness of having to ask for payment.
