My only advice to all of those starting in this business pease please take care of your safety and your employees. I’ve done this for 17 years and we use harnesses and we make sure all of our ladders are checked and certified before anything. Good luck y’all

Any tips on doing this solo for the first year? Not a ton of experience on roofs. Worried about safety and getting on tall roofs/ 2 layered roofs

Go slow. Be careful. Develop your skill level. It’s not a race. Main thing is that you go home each day. Don’t do a job that terrifies you

You can do this solo for sure. I did about 90ish houses solo in a year but after that was when I got a helper the following year cause I was swamped. Take your time, get proper gear like cougar paws for roofs. If you're scared, that's when you need to stop because that's when people get hurt. Do a ton of research and figure out all the ins and outs of it

@@lawnandlight Awesome! Great mindset. Would you say a ridge pro or goat is needed for solo work? If so, which one would you recommend

@bl1352 I always brought someone. You get hurt you don't want to be alone.

I was to do a year round installation, would I want spt-2 lights? Or are they more for extended season use but not year round?
@lawnandlight

They aren’t made for year round use. Look into permanent Christmas lights. We will be doing some videos on them in the future as well
