The value you provide in your videos, and the organized format in which you present them, is truly incredible. I am so thankful for you!

I’m currently not planning to make a KZitem channel, but I found this video interesting to see how you created your channel. I look forward to the next video. - Christina Vourcos

Thank you for this! I dabbled in videos and then stopped. I'd like to get back into posting content here on KZitem. I'd love a part 2 to this video!!

Thanks, Shelby! I started a KZitem channel a few months ago in order to get my novel to more readers, but I haven't made it public yet, since I want to have some content first and need to know more on how to present myself professionally. So thanks for this video! One question: do you never use subtitles, and if not, why not?

Great tips! Can you film your behind the scenes set up to show us how you do it? Thanks Shelby!

I would love to hear more about editing using Finalcut! I have been thinking about starting a youtube channel, but the editing is what scared me and, at this point, I can't afford to hire out for that. So if you have any tips you learned through using that you could share, I would appreciate it. :) This was so helpful though, thank you! I'm glad you made this video.

Thank you!! I can put something together on Final Cut although honestly, I'm sure there are more talented editors who have videos on Final Cut here on KZitem already 😅 But I will add to my list of ideas for sure!

Great video! I would love another video about different topics for authors. I have ideas but I don’t really want to give writing advice and I wonder if it’s interesting enough for me to be talking about my writing and giving updates.

Thank you! You would definitely want your channel to be aligned to topics your target readers would be searching for. (So yes, I agree with not offering writing advice unless your books are about writing advice!) If you're a nonfiction author, this tends to be easier as you will align it to your topics of expertise. As a fiction author, writing vlogs/updates can be great for engaging with your community, but also could be book reviews/hauls of books in your genre, your favorite tropes/themes in your genre of books, things like that that readers would really connect with!

Hi! On long videos like these KZitem automatically adds closed captioning that users can decide to turn on or off. So that's done for me! If you take a look at my Shorts, you can see that I have captions on every video that I add in editing, similar to how I always have captions on Tiktoks & reels :)
