Dc can still generate a magnetic field but it just needs something to turn it off so the field can collapse and be transformed back into electricity, and then turned back on again to repeat the process, something like a mosfet or a transistor will do the trick.

when soldering take the solder to the pad and apply it there. that smoke you see when touching the solder and then carrying it with the soldering iron is your flux... solder and iron should be applied at the same time at the point where you are soldering, your soldering method is incorrect Also that's not a laptop adapter. its a printer adapter laptops dont use 36V and demands way more current 3+amps on most models and even more on gamer laptops.

Can't wait to see your short term results on anything more advanced than through-hole components and long term results with dry solder joints, it may work for these little breadboards but it's not going to work well for real PCBs. And to address the other commenter's notion that one needs to create their own videos to offer advice - that's a strawman argument. Seriously though, there are already many good videos on how to solder. I recommend Big Clive's video on it.

The step up n down converters are very cheap you can get a super one for like £10 but some are £2 or if spend bit more can get better ones depends on what u need

IRFZ44 is a Mosfet. They are not designed to self oscillate and require a driver source If you use a Mosfet you'll need a IC to create the signal to drive the gate
