My Philosophy -Be not a slave to this ever fleeting world. -Desire little. -There is no such thing as a 'soul mate' YOU ARE ALREADY COMPLETE. -You think people are talking about you behind your back, in reality your not that important. -Everyone who walks this earth is suffering, EVERYONE! So to the best of your ability be kind. -Not everyone on this planet is kind and gentle, some are real barsteds. So keep a good distance between you and them. -More often than not the real reason you hate people is NOT what they have done, but what they reflect in you. You dislike a characteristic in you but instead of dealing with it and taking responsibility you project it onto the other person. Be mindful of this.

Tyler Durden has no fear. _That's_ what is impressive. Caring is not a bad thing. It is good. You can only feel when you care. You can only make a difference when you care. You can only succeed when you care. But you will only fear when you care. And this is the problem. Giving a fuck is a double edged sword in this one way. This is why caring intensely about a small number of things is good strategy - it allows you the benefits of both sides of caring. It allows you to feel, learn, and grow where it matters. But it also allows you to free yourself from fear where it does not. I don't believe in fearless men. I believe in men who have chosen very carefully what they fear.

Now's the time! The question "What truly matters to me?" is a good place to start when forming a life philosophy. If that's too broad, go with: "What would I do if I would up with $10,000,000 (after buying a bunch of new toys)?" or "If I knew I had a year to live how would I want to spend it?" or "When I am 95, looking back on my life, what decisions and experiences will I be most proud of?"
@adamwoody2553

Might I recommend Jesus. You can either create a life philosophy, which is only dependent on yourself and your feelings. Jesus offers something much larger than yourself in a way that God defines. Following Christ is a surefire way to lifelong joy no matter the circumstance, and it is wholly selfless.

andrew dacunto Not always. Religion can keep you away from certain aspects of life, due to it getting in the way of your beliefs. I do agree that Jesus has some traits from his philosophy that people can adopt, but if you follow just that philosophy there's no where for growth. And you should never stop growing.
@adamwoody2553
7 жыл бұрын
All I'm saying is that it works for me, and there is always growth. The great thing is that there is a literal standard to live up to. It's a solid measuring stick: Am I living up to God's call for my life and how I should live? There's always more I can do to do more for others, truth to study, more transformation, and more love I can give. I love these videos because charisma, as he says frequently, is a skill that you put into practice. And like all skills, my goal is to do it for Jesus. If some that are reading this aren't interested, that's ok. I'm not going to try to force it or get mad at you or anything like that. I just want to say for me, it's the only thing that matters. Just like he says in the video, it's not that the other things don't matter, it's just in relation to my life philosophy, those things don't matter.

Yea but you have to indentify what is "loving yourself". I think someone who puts himself over others or makes himself look better, cooler, and maybe even makes the others look smaller is selfish(and lot of ppl thinks this is "care for yourself"). If you have a strong belief in your worldview while you still can respect other worldviews, and you care about that to be better everyday, so you want to be better in yourself, rather than wanting to be better than others, thats something i'd call healthy.

I like how he says to find your life "philosophy" as opposed to life "purpose," because philosophy is more freeing and less confining as it's a system of thinking and a collection of ideas and thoughts, as opposed to a well-defined purpose - it's easier to understand and digest but harder to obtain because any variances we have if we reach that purpose would more than often feel like settling because it isn't "exactly" what you defined it to be.

Let them be bothered by you and offended by what you believe in and how you live your life if they want to be bothered, and keep doing what you want to do and being who you want to be. And if they insult you, laugh it off or agree with them. After a while of doing that, the insults will no longer sting and others will be bothered by the fact that their insult had no affect in you whatsoever.

My life philosophy is to not get clingy with my own desires. Because when I look back on my life, I have realized that most things that I love are things that I never expected to have. For instance, I am an anti-social who has always wanted to be alone but whenever I think about my family, I can't describe how much they mean to me.

Life philosophy: Express whats on your inside! Live from the inside, out. Not outside, in. Which means dont let anything outside of you affect YOU/ your heart or your life. Don't let judgements, expectations perceptions and other peoples opinions affect the raw you. "This is it" meaning be the now moment, dont worry about whats next or what happened. Love and accept you! Embrace and trust you! Add to peoples lives do not take! Give out positive energy and make your genuine presence be felt, when you enter a room full of people think of it as they need me, I will help and make it LIT. My philosophy is based on gaining knowledge and developing individuality, because I'm sure it can help society in the future. I always try to make my words match the actions and I think, it's very important to keep faith. Bad or not, I'm an atheist, I don't believe in God, it's true, but I DO believe in my own abilities. I am absolutely sure that if man wants to achieve something and he makes efforts for it, he will definitely succeed.I'm not an adult, but I try to build my character in the best way.Actually, Charlie gives me unreal support by his videos, which really inspire me,so I would like to thank him. I'm just writing this down just in case I forget to. 1. I wan't to be the person I aspire to be, and by thinking of that personality, I can get closer to that goal. At this point a few years ago, I wanted to dress nicer. So I experimented, tried out different things, found a personal taste, and I wear what fits into that generally laid out idea. Now that I go for personal tastes and think about what I want to wear, I often get comments from random people asking me how they can upgrade your style, which is fulfilling in the sense that it allows me to help others get out of their shell. Simply put, style is an important part of my life and I love seeing it evolve as I get older. 2. Martial arts are a great thing I enjoy spending time on since frankly, I strive to view each day as an individual experience that you might remember in the future. This means that I like to have a day I can feel fine about being my last so that I can move forward each day. This is also something I try to translate now when I sit down to work on music since often I might get too caught up on a single idea or end up stressing myself out over something I enjoy doing. 3. NO REGRETS. I've done quite a fair amount of stupid shit in my life and I've had way too many moments freaking out if I did something right. Once I come to peace with a decision, it allows me to move past it positively. Blacking out and sliding into a girl's DMs not realizing she liked me as a friend? Now I know, and I can focus on other girls. Calling a girl drunk to respond to a what are we text after getting top in a movie theater? It allowed me to be more honest originally and scale back any thoughts so that I could still have fun without getting roped into a relationship. It gives some balance to life that is nearly impossible otherwise. 4. Looking for REAL FRIENDS instead of surrounding myself with acquaintances. How else can I be reminded to turn off the phone If I'm too drunk to type words, hang out with people who actually care as much about me as I do them, and aren't easy to scare off? 5. Family in the sense that you ultimately shape it. Abusive parent? cut them off. Irritating cousins? You don't need to take time for people who suck energy from others.

My philosophy? Question everything, base my views on experience, evidence and rational thought. I believe in loyalty to my people, kindness and respect to normal people whom I do not know and acting against those that push against the values that I feel are inherently good in the world. This includes playing in the mud with the arseholes who use the system for their own selfish desires. I believe in my mission in life, to get into politics and play in the mud with all those who play the game, in service to eventually be in a position to tear the idiocy and corruption within my government limb from limb and move us towards a future where we can achieve great things together. My philosophy is to always be learning and growing as an individual. It is making decisions based upon rationality not emotion and being so committed to my goal that I know 100% I will not stop till I am done. Family, Humanity, Progress. - EVERYTHING HAS A REASON -feelings are momentary. You will get through these hard times. Think of a situation when you were desperate and you thought you wouldn´t make it but you did. And even when you didn´t, you got past it. --> everything will be okay - Believe in yourself and your abilities. You are smarter and stronger than you think and don´t let anybody tell you otherwise. -Life is full of possibilties --> if you weren´t successful in this one, you will get so many others to prove your real potential. - don´t be a people pleaser. By setting boundaries and caring for yourself you won´t lose anything that´s good for you. You won´t lose a true friend or a healthy relationship. You will only get rid of toxic people. -Don´t care what others think of you. As long as you can be proud of who you are, don´t let anybody destroy your dreams/confidence... - be as kind to yourself as you would be to your best friend -the most successful people are those who have failed the most--> don´t be afraid of failure -don´t seek for perfection, seek for progress --> Perfection is for robots, we are HUMAN -be grateful and enjoy small things -"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of god, which is why we call it the present." --> don´t beat yourself up for the mistakes you did yesterday. It´s in your past. Forgive yourself and appreciate this mistake for showing you what to not do in the future. Also don´t worry about any outcome that might arrive in the future, because most of the times you can´t even control it. Just live in the moment and enjoy life as it is. I thought about my life philosophy and other philosophical questions a couple of times and here's the 3 main points I can mention. 1. enjoy the little things in life. It can be anything, what's important is to stop the rushing and the monotonous routine of everyday life to have a look around and enjoy life. 2.improving myself both physically and mentally. It gives me confidence and courage to do anything. 3."he who overcomes himself is mighty"-Tao teh king. Basically overcome your fears and what's holding you back. Sometimes do the opposite of what your personality dictates. For example I usually don't state my "deep thoughts" anywhere, but now I am actually doing it. Hope some of you find my philosophy useful!

My philosophy is rather simple, and it fits in two basic rules that I usually call mottos and I in general keep very consistent with: 1) *Never sacrifice comfort.* For whatever it is you're up to do, make it so that it's an enjoyable experience - an experience you look forward to spending your time on. Even if you're up for a torture, crack jokes all the time. Die with a smile. If your friend is to suffer with you or in your place, make damn sure that fucker gets a damn good cup of coffee. 2) *Always have a backup.* (As you can see, this is a backup to my "comfort" motto) Have a spare, think of what might break and prepare for it to break or malfunction, be it a piece of equipment, your plans, your relationship, house, work - anything. Because when you are ready, a scenario opens where either things break and you fix them and they become good as new, or they don't break and comfort your life for as long as they can. The mindset of troubleshooting teaches you to look ahead and think of those around you, thus being prepared and appreciated by those around you.

D E E R B E A T S What do you define as freedom? People in Africa who have no government to guide them have freedom in the sense that no one can tell them what to do yet they suffer heavily for it. People in America claim to have freedom and live with all needs taken care of and yet they have a government telling them what can and can’t be done within its borders. So I’m curious what you would define as freedom

+Austin Elick Thats a good question. I would define it as being in these 3 states at the same time, and in as big of a capacity as possible: knowing what can be done, being capable of doing it and having no need to do anything.

Divine Linker 2&3 are solid but 1 has some real holes in it. If say you are in locked in a room than what you can do is seriously limited from the start. I personally think of freedom as the ability to control/ conquer yourself, to overcome our natural wants. But that is more of an individualized way of looking at it

+Austin Elick I dont get it. You said 1(knowing what can be done) has holes but in your example its the 2(being capable of doing it) thats missing. By being capable i meant being physically in position to do it and have skill to do it and having anything thats needed to be able to do it. ability to control/ conquer yourself = having no need to do anything(having control or needs fulfilled by others), without 1&2 thats still limited to ones head.
