Much Appreciated. Adobe is so proud of it's products ... It takes everyday blokes to de de-snobify their pompous crap

Thanks mate. It's crazy how much some files come down in size when doing this.

Omg I cant believe I never knew this. Just tested it one of my files and it went from 52MB to 2MB.. Insane. Thanks so much. I feel like this should be default what happens though..

You sound as excited as I was when I discovered this :) I've had some amazing reductions but I don't think anything like you just got. Congrats.

@@MichaelBullo When I do a new revision I always duplicate the file, rename it and then open it. I use this method so I don't mistakenly just start working on the document when I open it and override the previous revision. This would account for increasing bloat, especially if it gets to like 15 revisions lol.

@@deedubs8975 Depending on the project I will often do a very similar thing. It doesn't seem like you will have to change anything with your workflow except for throwing in the occasional Save As. Cool.

@@MichaelBullo I've set up a macro to make F2 do a save as and overwrite the file so I'll do regular saves when I'm working on the file and when i go to close it I'll hit F2 to overwrite it. Thanks again!

InDesign supports another file type called IDML that you might want to look into. I also suggest posting on the official Adobe InDesign forum where lots of experts hang out. Best of luck. community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/ct-p/ct-indesign

@@MichaelBullo For my purposes it needs to be Indesign, not IDML. Will check out the forum.
