Cora is a 21 Year old (At Time Of Video) Thoroughbred.
Having been bred for the track, Cora has/ had a nasty windsucking habit, that has permanently damaged her top incisors (You will See in This Video) And was sucking more than eating as she should. This lead to a huge amount of stress throughour her body, lacking in nutrition, and fully dependent on 2-3 meals from me daily.
(approx 1/4 - 1/3 More than "recommended" amount for her size & weight) to maintain something on her...
Untill This....
** I UNDERSTSAND** That this meathod Is Not For Everyone. This Worked For us.
HOWEVER... Cora is NEVER directly touched with ANY devise that zaps... IE - Cattle prods...
The ONLY time this zap occurs, is when she attempts to suck on any post where the electric fencing is set up. This set up is no different to any other electric fence, It was simply extended onto strainer posts...
July 2023 Update -
Cora's nasty habit appears to have been stopped, her weight stable, vet happy with her despite her permanant self inflicted damage to her teeth. Changing herbs according to season, a no grain / seed diet, no sugar, low starch diet has allowed Cora to gain weight and stay in good health ever since (February 2022).

Jewel is an Australian Brumby. (Mustang / Wild Horse)
After her family was rounded up out of Oxley Wild Rivers NP, from potential government slaughter in 2015. Jewel opened her eyes at a sanctuary in the November same year, a storm at large at the time of her birth, gave her a nickname she held for years by all who adored her.... Storm.
Fast forward a few years, she's a feisty teenager with a lust for testing her human companions.
In 2020, Storm clung to a new equine companion, and wasn't about to let her Thoroughbred friend out of her sight. Stuck together like glue, her carers didn't want to separate them, and in May 2021, was sent to one of their volunteers (Me) to learn some manners and formal training.
Since then, now known by her registered name "Jewel", has blossomed into a well behaved little brumby, still cheeky and feisty when she wants to be, but is learning that ways of humans isn't all bad, scary things come and go, and is learning to relax even with strange human ways.
