Good video - thanks for sharing your knowledge. I send a lot of folks to your channel who ask me a lot of questions. You are one of the best teaching beekeepers out there. We appreciate all your work. Take care.

All this time I keep hearing beekeepers on KZitem using "drone comb". I couldn't figure out why drone comb is preferred for anything. This guy solved the mystery in real time ..."drone comb" = "drawn comb" south of the Mason Dixon line. 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm an idiot. 😢😢😮😮😅😅😅😅

I was told the paramoth gas fumes actually go down, so I put a paper plate on top with crystals, but if you put some on bottom also I'll try that next time. thanks again for taking time to help

Joe on the long term method would you want to cycle the frames through the freezer before loading them in the boxes to make sure any eggs or large killed?
@LittleBitsHoneyBeesjoemay

I don't do any of the above right now freezing is a good idea but I use BT like you spray organic in your garden on my frames and just stick them in any extra box out there and wax moths and small hive beetles won't bother it; Frames with honey in them still need to freeze

I appreciate your efforts Joe. I live in south central Pennsylvania. I guess I could use the same procedure and stack my boxes of drawn comb outside for the winter with the same configuration, even though the weather is quite different than yours?? Thanks again! Keep up the good work.

Enoz moth ice crystals. Paradichlorobenzene. Sometimes written para-D. They make moth balls too. I do this same method. The moth balls or crystals sort of just evaporate and "gas" your equipment. For long-term storage plan on re-treating.

Thank you Joe! Do you put frames in the freezer before long-term storage, or does the para-moth take care of everything?

April Koury ....Joe said for treatment of Hive Beetles put frames in freezer!....for prevention of wax moths use para-moth...both cases prior to long term storage.....seems logical!.......

Joe, Will ants go into stored comb with paramoth balls? I'd like to store outside stacked up all winter but only if ants will not enter boxes.

Thanks Joe, I was one of the Guys that called about queens Thursday. Found a local apiary that had an order coming in the next day, but I enjoyed the short chat. I bought 2 Saskatraz queens. I'm doing a trap out in a Historical House and they are in a 19 ft column. I built a support style hive out of a 10 frame box with 2 4 frame boxes to go on top for later. Thanks for all you do to make these videos available. I do you same in my trade, I educate the people that come in to my shop as much as I can so if they can do it they have the knowledge to do it.

Interesting that you put para on the bottom. My pollinator mentor and beekeeping professor taught to place para on top of the supers. The reason was because the vapors are heavy and will go down through the boxes. Something new to me
