Would you say that your first two years were more difficult with the tough math and physics classes, or were the last two years the hardest? I’m currently in my sophomore year.

My first two years were the hardest because it was the first time I really experienced a real engineering class. I didn’t really know how to study or how think like an engineer either.

@@bs8550 It's possible depending on your specialization. Recruiters I spoke with also look for civil engineers for their water systems.

Francis Ramos II Thanks for the reply! But I’m little bit confused. Does that mean Civil Engineer can work as a Petroleum Engineer or just work for a petroleum company?

@@bs8550 I don't want to give you bad information , so I can't say whether or not you can work as a Petroleum Engineer. However, I do know that you can work for a petroleum company. Sorry if that doesn't help much :/

Electrical or computer. I would highly stress electrical if those are your true interests, but do not be discouraged to take your time and figure it out. Nothing you do will feel perfect. I've debated changing my major so many times. Talk to people in the department such as the Chair of Electrical Engineering at your school. They'd be more than glad to describe it for you

do what you like, learn everything, learn deep, one day you will settle your passion, im sure of it. for petroleum engineering, it is a cyclic industry, persistency and resilience is probably something new graduates to endure, I hope re-skilling can help to get employed when industry picks up, and it will picks up, its the cycle, thats the way it is. It is non-renewable, so supply will be scarce, and resources getting older, so endure this tough times, be ready, as industry will picks up
