thank you for the video! the aux port has been broken in my car for months and even my mechanic didn’t know how to fix this! an audio engineer friend told me i could buy the part online and do it myself. i had no idea it was this easy. i would just recommend people take the old one out first and examine how many pins it has so they buy the right part. finally, i can listen to music on my drives again!

Thanks for this, accidentally pushed my port in needed to figure out how to get it. This model places the aux in the worst possible spot, you can't even see when putting the aux cord in (i've always hated that). Also I have seat warmers so it was much harder for me to maneuver the middle consult, because the wiring for them is attached to it .

What i suggest for future use, put in the shortest aux *extension cord* you can find. That way, you never have to put pressure on the port again when using it. Same with the usb.

Thanks for the great video. Had great information. It made removing the aux box a breeze. The front door to the box and some other parts of the console were scratched and needed me to paint them up. So much easier taking them out of the car to do the paintwork. Thanks so much, you saved me a lot of time.

Yeah, that's gross! Probably charging you an hour diagnostic time at shop rate, then another 1/2 hr on top to install the surely inflated price on the part. You go, girl, spend that money on better things for yourself! We have a customer looking to replace theirs on a '12 Camry and I'm not looking forward telling him how much the dealer charges for the part, but if he buys it from them, I'll install it for him for nothing! Did you get yours from the dealer or jobber (aftermarket) and how much did you end up paying if you don't mind me asking?

And for the cig lighter/charging thingy, at 2:28 ish should show you what is separated. If anything is confusing, dont be afraid to ask me to clarify. Because this almost frustrated me to the point of tears, after which I prayed and was finally successful, let me add that both the lighter and aux attachments have a little "knob" you push in to detach. You don't need brute strength, it's just push the knob in and done

Yeah you can see in the video, even I had some trouble disconnecting the wires. Imma just copy-paste a pervious reply. Lmk if you need anymore help At 1:36 should show you the entire piece of what should be separated. It might be a little tough but you just have to wiggle it out with a bit of force(make sure you know what the piece looks like so you dont accidentally break the clips. A flat head screw driver might help). And for the cig lighter/charging thingy, at 2:28 ish should show you what is separated. If anything is confusing, dont be afraid to ask me to clarify. so I have an '08 camry hybrid with an aftermarket xm radio, the aux working and I followed your instructions and once I get to the aux port i noticed its not connected to anything! could you tell me what color the wires were? im kinda of lost and im thinking they used it to connect it to the xm radio.

Mine was OEM. Some only do have just the aux port. You should only get the aux port-only one in case its not compatible

HELP PLEASE!! I have a toyota camry 200 LE and my AUX is in the worst spot where i cant even see where to insert the wire and mine does not work anymore. No audio comes out when i connect the wire to hear music from my phone. Can you please share how I can repair this or what part i purchase to fix? 2). Is there any other option to avoid having me have the same issue lugging this uncomfortable wire into the aux and maybe it not working again? Someone mention get a transmitter? I'm also having issues with my cigarette outlet seems to burn out quick when i replace fuse

Personally if you dont want too much hassle, yeah, I'd get a bluetooth transmitter. If you do want to fix the aux, I'd ask other Toyota forums as I'm not familiar with that year. Also the fuse for your cigarette outlet is probably drawing too much power from somewhere, I'm sorry to say but you may have to get a multimeter, do some research on the electrical system of your car, and go from there

As long as you're not on a hill, nothing should mess up. Make sure you put the emergency brake on and make sure the car doesn't move/roll after you have let go of the regular brake. If you wish, for peace of mind, you can keep your foot on the regular brake. I'm pretty sure I do for most of the video

Very nice video , aldo u can skip the whole hadake, and with small flat screwdiver or blade pop the module out pull it out disconect cable hold it conect the new module and push it back in, all withouth removing anything else, just the very module itself, can be done in 60 secods

Oh i didnt know this. But I do the handbrake thing to remove the shifter a little bit out of the way. And I take out the whole box just so its easier. I'd imagine it would be a tight fit if you don't take out the box. Unless I misunderstood you

trdsupragt Hmm I'm going to have to say no because your power cord is most likely different. I don't think the aux port uses the same amount of volts as the USB port(unless Toyota made the voltage that port uses universal for all Camry's from 07-11). If you REALLY want to check, you can send me a picture of the power cord for the aux port and I'll compare it to mine. But even then I won't be able to give you a concrete answer. If you really want a built-in USB charger you can install a 3rd party one. There are numerous videos on KZitem on how to do that. Warning, there is slightly more work, but nothing you can't handle

Hi Ali Bob. I have a 2007 Toyota Camry XLE and my aux is not being detected. Everything else works. Until now, I believed it was the aux port with some loose connection which I can solder. However, to my surprise, the aux post is perfectly fine. I ever verified it with a new aux port. I have verified that there is no problem with the music source, aux cables (tried multiple), aux port (tried with a new one as well), what else could be the issue. Could it be at the stereo end? I can't switch to aux mode even from the steering wheel.

Firm up your wire connection to the AUX Port before pressing the button, if possible hold it down with one hand whilst pressing the AUX button... It should switch
