I hope you enjoy this one! Here is the link to Joel's street photography course that I mentioned in the video: mastersof.photography/joel-meyerowitz/?ref=57 - What a legend. For some reason, Joel hasn't really been in my top 5 of street photographers, but after researching for this video, he has to be!

Since my childhood I love photos. Capturing emotions. Beautiful places. Then digital took it in a different direction. I left my analog feelings behind. Then some years ago, I bought the cheapest DSLR from Canon, to try out, if I find that love again. Learned a lot. And now, for some month I have my Fuji X100V, wich delivers a lot of the analog feeling. I shoot a lot square format, monochrome, etc. And your experiences look great.

Joel Meyerowitz started with color streetphotography when color was considered to be for amateurs and not for "art photography" , he did also use a 8x10 Deardorff camera next to the Leica's.

Great video! Seems like you put a lot of effort in every one of them! I think we can not appreciate right now the photos you’ve taken since what we like in Joel’s photos (besides the complex composition) is the specific era and the way people used to dress... Your photos could have the same impact, only 50 years from now! I hope you understand what I try to say -my English is terrible...

In the first photo of the two couples and the shadows, the shadows are not, as you said, from the other couple. They MATCH the other couple but because the light it directly behind the camera, the shadows are from unseen people. Still an amazing image, just not as you described. Meyerowitz "Cape Light" series came out while I was a photographer major in college and he became one of my favorite photographers. It's great to see he's still around and working.

I lived in Mexico for about three years, Baja California Sur and Lago de Chapala. I took some photos with an old Sony DSC 70 with its wonderful CCD sensor. There is much I miss of Mexico, like the comida de la Calle and the vibrancy. But the treatment of women and animals left me so depressed that I came home and have remained here. I enjoy very much your work and your videos. And if you leave that 2.8 Rollei too close to me it won't be a Mexican who steals it. ;o) Be careful and take care of yourself. Make very day count because they are gone before you know it.

Looks like a great place to live, very vibrant and the people appear to be friendly and don’t mind having their photo taken. Here in the UK we can only dream of being able to move around so freely even before the virus outbreak without being questioned or threatened. A little jealous deep down of this and your style and eye for an image.

Curse this pandemic! This series is so inspiring. I really want to drive the 150 miles to San Francisco and do some street photography, but I can't. I tried in my town, but when you know most of the people, it's a bit creepy. Plus, here in the weed capital of the world (Mendocino / Humboldt counties) people tend to be kinda paranoid. Thanks for the inspiration, though. I'll get there eventually.

I’ve got Joel’s Street Photography Course, I actually won it on Instagram. My problem is I haven’t really started it and now I’ve no camera after falling into a river last week ruining both my Canon 1300d/Rebel T6 and also my Canon G7 X, so now I’m waiting on the insurance company. I have borrowed a Nikon d3100 with 18-55mm kit lens plus a 70-300mm, I took it out on Saturday and I’ve got to say, I just don’t like it all. My friend is sending me a Canon 6d Full Frame, I’ve got a 50mm 1.8 for that but my friend is sending a few spare lenses too. Great video as always and I’m looking forward to the next.
