The other thing you can do to figure out which foot is dominant is if you have them turn around, them push them from behind. Whatever foot they poot forward is their dominant foot and is also the foot they should put forward. one tip i would like to add for little kids like her. let them also push around on their knees or their butt to get more feeling for the board, figure out the speeds it rides comfortable with and how you steer it. steering needs to be trick #2 after pushing to make it safe for the kids to practice on their own when they are outside. imagine they try to bomb a sidewalk down a road, get faster than they think and cant steer away from the coming crossing or the next tree. basics first for safety sake

#Aaron #Brailleskateboarding, Hi, when 1st learning to stand on the board but still unsure which foot needs to be in front on a skateboard. The easiest trick I learned (as a skateboard, snowboard and roller-skate salesman, etc. And in a long-gone past (!980 to 1993) a sponsored Vert, roller-skater (Rodolpho''s intl. Amsterdam))to find out how to find that out, is to stand behind the person with his/her feet side by side on flat ground. Stand behind that person, and without notice give the person a gentle push in his/her back until they need to step one foot in front of the other to keep from falling to the front. Repeat this push for at least 2 times (with the same foot/leg else repeat it to see a pattern on which foot is ""leading"" ) the foot used to step in front to catch balance is the foot that needs to be in front on the skateboard (with snowboarding it is the same but the ''catch'' foot needs to be on the back) It is not an exact science but in general, this will help newbies to find either they are goofy or regular. This is what I've learned from selling skateboards/ snowboards and being around them, I'm Dutch so please forgive me my "Dutchness" for the prob. awkward explanation, but that said just give it a try. Or try (double-check) it on your friends/crew etc. and see how those results are. Have fun and stay safe, you guys absolutely rock!!!

I am not great but i can ride, ollie, kickflip, heelflip, 180 each way, fakie nollie, drop in, some vert tricks and other what i would call beginner tricks. I do not think i am good enough to teach many people but young kids or brand new skaters would be fine. It would be soooo much better then what i do for a living now. Keep living the dream Arron.

Best way to find a beginners dominant foot imo is: 1. Put back and both heels standing against a wall. 2. Lean forward until the breaking point of a fall. 3. Catch yourself my walking forward. Whatever the first foot you catch yourself with should be your dominant side.
