Thank you for the video, I will give these a try, my son is 17 months old, hasn’t started walking, I’m literally trying so much. He walks with his push walker but only on his toes, he also doesn’t stand independently, longest time was 12 seconds. Also he won’t let me hold his hands to walk he collapses his knees and goes to crawling position, and this has been going on for ages. He is due to start physio if he doesn’t start by 18 months.

Learning how to walk is a challenging but rewarding process that requires patience, practice and perseverance. Walking is a complex skill that involves coordination of muscles, joints, balance and vision. To learn how to walk, you need to follow some basic steps: - Start by sitting on a chair or a couch with your feet flat on the floor. Try to lift one foot off the ground and then put it back down. Repeat with the other foot. This will help you strengthen your leg muscles and get used to shifting your weight. - Next, stand up with the support of a walker, a cane or someone's hand. Make sure your feet are shoulder-width apart and your knees are slightly bent. Try to balance yourself without leaning too much on the support. This will help you improve your posture and stability. - Then, take small steps forward with the support of your walker, cane or helper. Move one foot forward and then bring the other foot next to it. Keep your back straight and look ahead. This will help you develop your rhythm and confidence. - Gradually increase the distance and speed of your steps as you feel more comfortable and secure. Try to walk in different directions and on different surfaces. This will help you adapt to various situations and challenges. - Finally, practice walking every day for at least 10 minutes or as long as you can tolerate. This will help you maintain your progress and prevent regression. Learning how to walk is not easy but it is possible with consistent effort and guidance. Remember to celebrate every milestone and enjoy the journey!

Any tips for building confidence to fall? My little one will walk while I support her ribcage and over the past 2 weeks of doing it she feels sooooo much stronger, but she has only let go to be independently standing at the couch once (5 seconds) and if I try to let go she grabs my hand in close. I troed to mock falling and laughing to show it is okay but she is a cautious observer.
@BabyExercises

Building confidence in falling is an important step in helping your little one gain independence in walking. Here are some tips to encourage her: Create a Safe Environment: Ensure the area where your baby is practicing walking is safe and free from obstacles. This will give her the confidence to explore and try walking independently. Gradual Progression: Continue to support her as she walks, but gradually reduce the support over time. For example, gently hold her hands with less pressure or encourage her to take small steps towards you. Encourage Playful Practice: Mock falling and laughing, as you've been doing, is a great approach. This shows her that falling is okay and can even be fun. Use positive reinforcement such as clapping or cheering when she stands independently, even for a short time. Use Furniture or Toys: Place her favorite toys or objects just out of reach so she's motivated to let go and take steps independently towards them. You can also use sturdy furniture for her to hold onto and practice standing. Be Patient and Supportive: It's natural for babies to be cautious, and each child progresses at their own pace. Offer lots of encouragement and reassurance. Let her know you're there to support her if she falls. Celebrate Small Achievements: Even brief moments of independent standing or steps are milestones worth celebrating. This positive reinforcement will boost her confidence and motivation to keep trying. Model Walking: Show her how to walk by walking alongside her or demonstrating with a toy. Babies often learn through imitation, so seeing you walk can encourage her to try it herself. Give Her Time: Building confidence in walking independently takes time and practice. Allow her to explore and develop her skills at her own pace, without rushing or pushing her beyond her comfort level. By creating a supportive and encouraging environment, and by celebrating her progress, you'll help build her confidence in walking independently over time. Enjoy these moments of discovery and growth with your little one! 🚶♀️💕

It sounds like your son is making progress in his physical development and is exploring mobility in his own way. Here are some tips to encourage him to walk independently: Encourage Practice: Continue to encourage him to take steps independently by offering support when needed but also giving him opportunities to practice without too much assistance. Use Walking Aids: Since he doesn't prefer the walker, try using other walking aids like push toys or carts that he can hold onto and push around. These can help build his confidence and balance. Create a Safe Environment: Make sure your home is safe and free from hazards so he can freely explore and practice walking without the fear of falling. Praise and Encouragement: Celebrate his efforts and successes whenever he takes steps independently, even if they are just a few. Positive reinforcement can boost his confidence. Model Walking: Show him how to walk by walking alongside him or demonstrating with a favorite toy. Babies often learn through imitation. Remember, every child develops at their own pace, and it's important to be patient and supportive during this exciting stage of his growth. With time, practice, and encouragement, he will likely start taking independent steps when he feels ready. Enjoy these precious moments of discovery and growth with your son! 🚶♂️💕

I will suggest that you get advice from a professional medical educated person. We only know about exercises and activities for babies in the age of 0-24 months. But none of the activities we have in our videos will hurt your baby, so keep believing and then I am sure your baby will get there too. 👍👶💪

If your baby boy is feeling scared or hesitant to walk, it's essential to provide him with reassurance, encouragement, and a supportive environment. Here are some tips to help him feel more confident: 1. Create a Safe Environment: Make sure the area where he walks is free from obstacles and hazards to reduce the risk of falls. 2.Hold His Hand: Offer your hands for support as he practices walking. This physical connection can provide him with a sense of security and stability. 3. Use Toys or Objects: Encourage him to walk towards toys or objects he enjoys. This can motivate him to take steps forward and distract him from any fear he may be feeling. 4. Praise and Encouragement: Offer plenty of praise and encouragement for his efforts, even if it's just a few steps. Positive reinforcement can help boost his confidence. 5. Be Patient: Remember that every child develops at their own pace. Give him time and space to explore and practice walking at his own speed. 6. Offer Supportive Verbal Reassurance: Use a soothing and encouraging tone of voice to reassure him that he's doing great and that you're there to support him every step of the way. 7. Consult with a Pediatrician: If your baby's fear of walking persists or if you have concerns about his development, consider speaking with your pediatrician for personalized advice and guidance. By providing a loving and supportive environment, along with patience and encouragement, you can help your baby boy feel more confident as he learns to walk. 🚶♂️💕 #ParentingTips #BabyDevelopment

My 1 year old daughter has mastered steps 1-6 but she has a hard time letting go of my hand and walking independently. She is still walking but only if she’s holding onto one of my hands. How do i get her to let go and walk independently?? I’m concerned for her. Thanks

If you are concerned she will hurt herself you can actually apply a bike helmet to her head, it has actually helped/motivated a lot of parents to let their babies try walking on their own without them being near to catch them if they fall.

I understand that it can be challenging to help your baby learn to walk on your own, but remember that 6 months is still to early tolerant to walk. Here are some suggestions to encourage your baby to walk independently, but we suggest waiting till your baby is 9-12 months to starts these fun games. Encourage Standing and Cruising: Allow your baby to spend time standing and holding onto furniture for support. This helps them build strength and balance. Place toys or objects they like on low furniture to encourage cruising (walking while holding onto furniture). Use Push Toys: Invest in a sturdy push toy or walker that your baby can hold onto while walking. This can provide the support they need to practice walking. Hold Hands: Gently hold your baby's hands and guide them as they take steps. This can help them get used to the motion of walking and build their confidence. Short Distances: Place toys or objects a short distance away to encourage your baby to take a few steps towards them. Gradually increase the distance as they become more confident. Create a Safe Environment: Make sure your home is safe for your baby to explore. Clear obstacles and provide a non-slip surface to prevent falls. Balance Practice: Help your baby practice balance by having them stand and reach for toys. You can also gently sway them while they hold onto a stable surface. Positive Reinforcement: Celebrate and praise your baby's efforts, no matter how small. Positive reinforcement can boost their confidence and encourage them to try more. Model Walking: Walk around your baby to show them how it's done. Babies often learn by watching and imitating others. Patience and Encouragement: Be patient and provide lots of encouragement. Every baby develops at their own pace, and it's important to support them without pressure. Consult with a Pediatrician: If you have concerns about your baby's development, consider consulting with your pediatrician for personalized advice and reassurance. Remember, your baby will reach this milestone in their own time. Keep providing a supportive and loving environment, and they will continue to progress. 🚶♂️💕 #BabyDevelopment #ParentingTips

@BabyExercises

It's common for children around 1.5 years old to be able to walk while holding onto furniture or with support but not yet walk independently. Here are some tips to encourage independent walking: Practice Walking: Encourage your child to take small steps without holding onto anything. Start with short distances and gradually increase as they gain confidence. Create a Safe Environment: Ensure the space where your child practices walking is safe and free from obstacles. This gives them the freedom to explore and gain balance. Use Walking Toys: Push or pull toys that your child can hold onto while walking can provide support and motivation to take steps independently. Offer Gentle Support: Hold your child's hand lightly or place your hands around their waist to provide stability and reassurance as they walk. Celebrate Progress: Praise and encourage your child for each attempt they make at walking independently, even if it's just a few steps. Be Patient: Every child develops at their own pace. It's normal for some children to take longer to feel comfortable walking without support. If you have concerns about your child's development or if they show persistent difficulty walking independently after trying these tips, consider discussing with your pediatrician for personalized guidance and reassurance. Enjoy this exciting stage of your child's growth and celebrate their achievements along the way! 🚶♀️💕

It s a natural process... Does any one teach an early human being to walk... Or to eat....? Don't spoon feed everything... You just need patience
@BabyExercises
3 жыл бұрын
You do not have to teach your baby to walk, everybody is free to do as they feel best. But as with all things here in life, it gets easier to learn new things if you get a little help. But we agree that the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the time spend with your little one.

It's true that baby walkers can provide some entertainment and mobility for babies, but it's essential to remember that they don't replace the crucial role parents play in a child's development. Your active involvement and engagement are invaluable for your baby's growth. While walkers can be fun, they shouldn't be relied upon as the sole means of development. Babies benefit greatly from hands-on interaction, tummy time, and exploration with you. Your guidance and support help them learn and develop in the best possible way. So, while baby walkers can be convenient at times, remember that your active participation in your child's development journey is irreplaceable and truly makes a difference. 😊👶💕

@luchiestee61

Babies should be able to at least sit up on their own and pull themselves to a standing position at 14 months old. I think the best approach is to take baby to see a doctor and have baby's growth chart accessed. Just so you can get a professional advice on how you can help your child.

I went through a lot of hell with him. Would feed him but he wasnt going beyond 7.5kg weight. I tried everything in my power. I went bankrupt cos of it and even lost my job as well. How? U would aak. My family(in-laws) felt i was neglecting him becos of my job and asked me to leave otherwise lose my home. I had to. I went from hospital to hospital to healthcare centres close to home but nobody coykd tell me exactly what the problem was. I was called to go back to school mid-laat year and had to take a small loan to fund my going and coming. My boy fell ill again around that time. Such that whatever i gave him to eat, he would stool it exactly the same way the food is. I was troubled. Went to hospitals, yet nothing was found. I was loads worried yet if i kill myself, nibody would be able to take care of him likei was doing it. Shortly after all this, he started to stool more often. I feed him, he stools, he drinks water, he stools. I was given ORS, yet no changes. Had to take gim to the hoapital for mother and xhild closer to school. I missed my test on a 4unit course on that day. He was admitted immediately. Loads of things i had to pay for, my mum even had to support me financially with it because she loves my boy. She has been helpful with him each time i come over to school for lectures and drop him with her. She's beome attached to him. Ever since that day, my son has recovered. He is two years now though behaves like a baby yet he unddrstands and responds well to what anybody says. He is holding onto injects for support and walks with them. Earlier he would need my two hands to hold him b4 he walks. Now he only requires just a hand to hold his for him to walk. He is getting better and better daily. He smiles, sings even dances. Last year November, we went for immunization and he was weighing 13kg. hubby and I are also looking ways better than b4, no worry or cause for alarm anymore. Our debts is not a threat to the much happiness we feel about our sons health and survival. Its nothing short of a miracle for me
