Easier way to know is that the scout 60 doesn't has the name scout on the tank under the Indian name...great video I was looking for it.

I need the Bobber 60!

4:58 I know the video is old, but I could see how this part is confusing to people. "...if it's the 100 hp or the 60" makes it sound like you're referring to each by their power rating, asin "the 100 hp vs 60 hp" and this is not the case. In this case, "60" refers to its displacement 60 ci. I guess for you to be consistent, you should either say "the 100 hp vs the 78 hp" or "the 69 ci vs the 60 ci".

Do they all have the same suspension? I thought I heard somewhere that the 100hp regular Scout had more rear travel suspension at least. Test riding a 2022 Bobber, the rear suspension was quite stiff. :(

thank you. very informative. realizing you don't get a lot of snow in San Diego. how do these handle in snowy condition, on steep grades? just curios is one model better then the other?
@indianmotorcycleofsandiego25

Hey Brian, Great question! When it comes to snowy, rainy, or unsteady ground the secret is always going to be in the tires. Steep grades or hills the larger Scout motor is going to be your friend, so everything outside of the Sixty models. The full size Scout Bobber would be my 1st stop being it has aggressive tires, short wheel base for maneuverability, and the big 69 cubic inch motor. Hope this helps Brian give us a call anytime! 😊 -Angel

I would love to buy one but I'm just not a Cruiser guy. Maybe if I could get my feet under me with mid controls I might give it a shot. They are beautiful motorcycles I can't deny that.

Scout Bobber, known by it's Viking name Thorin- Shatterer of Spines.
@joemann7971
4 жыл бұрын
it's not a real bobber. It has a suspension. It just has less travel than the regular scout. Real bobbers are hard tails with seat suspension only. A real bobber will shatter your spine. The scout bobber will just make your ass hurt a little more than the regular one.
@joemann7971

@David Tucker a real bobber would be even harder, since it would be a hard tail with no rear suspension. It feels harder since you have a shorter suspension with less travel, but it still has a suspension. I'm not dissing the bike by any means. Most people, myself included, don't like real bobbers but I would take Scout Bobber any day. They are really nice bikes.

@David Tuckeryou could probably modify it to make it more comfortable. Maybe adding a better seat. Its not quite going to make up for the reduced suspension travel, but it should make it better. Also, cant you add the regular scout's rear suspension or is it completely different? It might ruin the look a bit but make it a more comfortable ride.

the ONE thing that remains unclear is... do they have the same engine in all 3? What are the price differences? no one ever mentions that.
@markclintsman4928

Scout 60 has a 60 cubic inch engine (hence the name). The Scout and Scout Bobber are 69 cubic engines. Scout is about $2k more than the Scout 60, but Indian has a "build your bike" feature on their website, so you can see how much to build it out with saddle bags, ABS, windscreen etc.

The Scout Sixty is an excellent beginner bike. It is very easy to manage and maneuver, and there is still enough power that you wont outgrow it too quickly.

Would you recommend the scout or scout bobber as a first time bike? Or more recommend the 60
@indianmotorcycleofsandiego25
3 жыл бұрын
In general, the Sixty models may be better for new riders as they have the smaller 1000 cc motor. But depending on the hight and weight of the rider, the classic Scout or Bobber may be the perfect choice as well! Going with the classic Scout or Bobber as a first bike may mean that you have to get used to that extra power, but you probably wont outgrow it or be longing for a bike with more power as time goes on :) We hope this helps! and please reach out if you have any more questions. Thanks, Jay!
