No big deal. Try taking a 70 footer up Davis Gulch two turns past the hole in the rock. I don't forget you got to get it back out of there. Did that every bit of 15 years ago. Lake Powell is awesome. I've only missed two years out of the last 34 of houseboating on that awesome Lake

True story. Picture this. You know when they take a picture where everyone is in the air? Well the in the California delta, two houseboats with two groups of young people got onto the front roofs of the boats. When they jumped for the picture, both roofs collapsed. Don’t know if anyone got hurt, but I’m pretty sure they didn’t get their deposit back.

And we dock ours on the Ohio river with wind and current. We have about 3ft to the boat in front and 3ft to a boat behind us. Lake piloting is not a tough job compared.

For the most part, you are correct. But these get capsized in the wind, so check. I ran this canyon but faster.

Lake Powell almost all ways has high winds and rock wall cliffs that you can run a houseboat into. The video here is a poor example of how tough it can be on Lake Powell, but I hear what you are saying about a river current.

So - on a lake and with a houseboat --- fenders down is SOP ?

Um, yes with no surround deck there is no way to get to them. So they do stay in that position. Plus the mad 7mph a houseboat travels does not seem to warrant moving them LOL

If that's the tightest spot you've ever seen, you've never seen him pull the boat into a dock slip then! I dock a 95 foot houseboat into a slip all the time & Without bow thrusters! Nice spot though.

I personally think it is a better job piloting the UAV then the houseboat. But both are great!!! I was wondering if he was going to be able to turn around. Engines on boats are made to raise up if they hit things going forward. But backing up it can cause thousands of dollars of damage. I am sure though Jeff was sweating the pull out day and not having any wind. Is that down by the confluence of the San Juan and the Colorado?

Amazing...two illegal acts in one video. Drones are not permitted within Glen Canyon recreation area, then you idiots proceed to "Drill" into the rock...and you got it all on video....well done. Captaining skills would have been more impressive if he wasnt using bow and stern thrusters.
@garrentaylor3629

Sheesh, no wind.....easy! done this lots as we go down every two years. Also, you did not have rock walls on each side to worry about. And stop drilling holes in the rocks it is against the law. But real genius to post your illegal activity online.
