I have used this for every load I have ran for the past 4 years and you will never have any issues with it as long as you when you loop the excess around and through have it facing the front of the trailer and pull towards the back of the trailer (any force the air put on the strap as your moving only tightens it) if you do it the opposite way and have a slick new strap it can wiggle loose

@@lawrencereevesfor us idiots, you should do a slow motion video, and maybe another video where you're doing the same thing but the ratchet strap is going from left to right across a bed or something so that idiots like me can see a little bit more clearly how this is done. I'm pretty sure I have it mastered now, but it definitely took me a good seven or eight times watching this video on repeat to understand. Because I have a strap going from the driver side of my truck bed to the passenger side of my truck bed. Seems hella tight though!

I prefer making a round loop, then sending part of the strap through that to basically make a "knot". Then you can either use the handle to hold the loop down, or just let it hang. In the situation you just did, just letting it hang would work fine.
@Jak1776

This didn’t work AT ALLLLLLL. Like, literally cannot express how much this didn’t work. Let’s put it this way. I would have better chances making a functional car made out of nothing but paper that could drive at 150 mph than to have a successful tie down for ratchet straps. I’ve watched every video on KZitem on different ways to tie them down and LITERALLY ALL of them didn’t work. Not even slightly. I fucking quit!!! I’m just gonna let the shit fly off the trailer!!! 🤬🤬
@willjohnson5861
Жыл бұрын
Ive done the round loop method hundreds, if not thousands, of times. Haven’t had it unravel once on me. I think this issue may be you my friend. You’re probably just not doing the methods correctly. It’s hard to copy from the KZitem videos, I didn’t know until a trucker showed me in real life. I hope you are able to figure it out, loose straps are dangerous for you and other drivers.
