Great stuff! Another simple transition is to make the intro of the second song bigger. Medium Tom groove, full band, and then drop to whatever is in on that verse normally.

I love the sound system here. Feels like a concert in a small space.

Those are amazing tips!!! You played them great! We will try that for sure. Just a comment… Your MD must set much closer his Mac, and put it in front of him… He’s wasting 2 o 3 secs. He lost WD from his sight, and release the keyboard several times

I think an even better transition would be to start cross fade intro of second song after the final swell on the 1, and pray over that looping intro.

What’s that drum sound at 7:50 called and how would I get that drum sound ?

Now do this for a normal group of musicians. No Ableton cause we cannot afford that, no MD because no one know an enough about music to even know how… then get a drummer who is mostly on time… and then 3 people who can sing… but not actually…. That would be more helpful for the average church lol!! 🎉

Someone has to step up and be MD, or at least have a way to communicate with the group. For my team, we have established hand signals lol

Great stuff except using prayer as a transition in music that is kind of a gross concept y'all... prayer is literally having a conversation with God almighty and your using it to cover up a pad changing keys... thats kinda gross my guy... I know thats not the heart behind it at all but you won't find me doing that... prayer has got to be the highest honor & privilege.

Your idea of saying that it is gross, is ignorant. Does your pastor not pray before or after reading scripture. Does someone not pray after worship to transition into the sermon….Or do you not pray before you eat a meal?! Prayer is used in transition. Should we not all use prayer as transition from one moment and giving our next moment to God? Prayer is holy conversation with God. We agree on that right? You think it’s a cover up to do it between a song. Are you putting parameters on when someone can pray to God? You might be misunderstanding so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. They are recognizing that prayer is Holy and realizing that when done at the time of transition you are leading others into what you feel the Holy Spirit is doing as well as covering up what otherwise could be a distracting transition to some in the congregation worshiping.

@@josiahscalf6526 my pastor does pray in those situations but it’s not to make his sermon sound or feel better it’s becuase he is in desperate need of holy communion with God… I’m not saying it’s wrong to pray in between… we should be praying at all time anyway I’m saying the fact that we are planning on using a prayer to make our transitions smoother is gross… putting parameters on God?? No but I’m also not gonna make a practice of making holy things common… and what’s gross is when we become so practical and “efficient” we sacrifice the holiness and high honor it is to communicate with the God of the universe… I don’t think you watched the video becuase they weren’t saying “let’s connect with god and give him this next moment” they were in gest saying “how can we make this transition sound better??…. oh yeah let’s use prayer…” not cool IMO.

Just if you listen carefully to what they were saying at the end of the video. You'd understand the whole context of this
