Wash your hair with African black soap, rinse out ( your hair will feel like straw, don’t worry), towel dry your hair, put olaplex nr 3 in you’r hair for 1 night Rinse out the olaplex nr 3, wash your hair with Shea moisture African black soap, rinse it out and put the Shea moisture African black soap purification mask in it.( sometimes I leave the mask in for one night) Do that every 3-5 days I got almost my natural hair back! I was considering to shave my hair off, I was soooo sad!!! And now I’m happy! The only thing you need is patience! With every washing your hair turns out better. My story is the same I was wanted to have straight hair and I would always cry and tell my mom why do I have curly hair ?? Until one day she took me to the salon and get me the do keratin treatment done , not only once but TWICE within a year , they told me it would come off within 6 months and yet only a few of my hair start getting back on track this is my worse mistake ever , to everyone who wants to change their hair texture don’t don’t !!! U will regret it sooner or later

girl ik how u feel, i used to get called a poodle, or told i was using perm to “look black” even tho my 3a curl pattern doesnt even come close to realll textured hair poc have... im trying so hard to get my hair back from keratin too, my biggest help so far is YEETING your ends and giving yourself a LOT of layers, it takes the weight off, leaving ur hair less weight to manage when transitioning back to its natural state. my hair used to be board straight before i cut it but now that the weight is gone the curls are forming again and my new growth that hasnt even been touched by keratin (roots) are HELLA curly bc the damaged weight isnt pulling it down anymore :)

same I just got a keratin treatment today and I didn’t even like the results. my hair was too straight for my liking. Before getting the treatment, I despised my natural curls even tho others liked it and wished they had it. Now after getting the treatment, I feel like I wasted my money and destroyed my natural curls. It’s night right now so tomorrow I’m gonna wash it off to get my curls back because since I just got my treatment today, hopefully my curls won’t be as damaged 😔

I am so glad that I found this. the only time I was blowdrying or straightening my hair was to get a trim and last year, the person I allowed to do my blowdry, flatiron and trim, jacked me all the way up. The heat damage has been irreparable. I've now been getting a keratin and it does not look the way I thought it would when curly, and I feel like it is a whole hell of a lot more work. After detangling, it still doesn't allow me to run my brush or comb through my hair and my wrist begins to hurt. My curly texture looks like yours and I feel my natural texture was WAY more manageable than the keratin treatment.

Hey loves! So sorry for the late replies. Please do not be devastated love. Trust me, there are so many way you can try to make your transition work. Have patience and work with the texture you have, rather than hate it. Soon enough your hair will grow healthy again, and you will be able to cut off all of your dead ends. It will feel liberating. Remember, my transition took about 1.5 years. It was long, but it also passed quickly. Good luck my love.

In the past two years i have done and redone at home keratin treatment every time my curls started grow back, I loved it even if my hair appeared thin and flat, but this summer I decided to stop redoing it to allow my hair to return curly. But after more than 3 month they still are pin straight, and right now I'm struggling with two textures :( The packaging promised it would have go away in 12 weeks, and the process would be faster using sodium chloride filled shampoos, but even washing daily I'm only making my curly part so dry and frizzy while the straight part can't even be braided or curled :( I don't have the strength to go for a pixie cut and instead I'm now stuck with weird cringy updos (the other choice would be further heat damage... I might end up bald and I'm not ready for it lol)

What brand of keratin did you use? Brazilian blowout ruined my hair. I keep cutting and cutting but my ends are frazzled like a z instead of straight or curls. My hair is 2c wavy and I got my keratins done professionally done for health so I could grow my hair longer. The first 4 times my hair was easier to style and I was able to grow my hair longer than ever before until my 5th keratin. The damage kept getting worse and top of that, I always blowout and curl my hair with a wand. I hate this! Please help if you have any suggestions. Thank you

I did keratin with my hair because my grandma said it would bring down the puffiest in my hair. they said to keep it for a week and that the first time I wash it that it won’t get that curly. I listened and it didn’t come back fully and it still hasn’t and every day I freak out because of how it looks. I struggle with my appearance because am Dominican and Puerto Rican but I look white. The only thing that made me feel Spanish was my hair but now it different because of how my hair looks now

I recently just got my hair back in may 2019 but in November my mom really wanted me to do keratin bc it would “make my hair go down” Bc I did have an Afro but I loved it I took me years to recover from my last relaxer and I did a big chop. And my mom and hair lady said if I do it it wouldn’t go straight it will only go down and I said I didt want it to go down Bc I loved it then about 2 days ago we made an appointment to do it Bc of all the things she was telling me about it like if you don’t like it, it will go back so I did it and yesterday I washed my hair and it was not pin straight but wavy at the top and straight at the bottom and I went into my moms room crying and told her that my hair was ruined and I’ll never get it back. She told me that it will go back wait 6 weeks. I shouldn’t have done it I loved my hair so much but I was gullible and did it anyway. I got so sad that I just slept for 13 hours and still don’t want to get up Bc I just made my self go through this whole process again and that took me years to get back from. I did moroccan keratin.
