I've had to use crutches in a shopping centre a few times and it's shocking how many people cut across you or complete almost knock you over. It's like if I didn't have the crutches they would never get that close to me.

Disability is a very broad term and this video doesn't handle how to deal with those with mental disabilities such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or asperger's disorder.

Disabled people in this video: don't ask questions about it, don't talk about it, don't help us. Also disabled people in this video: don't act like we aren't disabled, try having sex with disabled people but don't ask questions that specifically pertain to having sex with us that could actually be important if anyone were to get to that point with a disabled person.

This is a good informative video, but why is it on this channel? The main vice channel has way more people subscribed than vice asia, therefore a lager audience. Meanwhile this channel should focus on ASIA. How about disabilities in ASIA ? Asia is a huge continent and yet there are videos on this channel not about asia. WHY?

Another thing that you need to add to your video is that most able-body people assume that disabled people can't help other people and that we are the ones that need help only when it is convenient to the able-body person. There is a term that I don't like whatsoever is the term "People With Disabilities". I would prefer to be called a "Disabled Person". The term people with disabilities just sounds like someone who that is not disabled is just trying to put our disabilities on the back burner and as if they are embarrassed to call us or accept us as disabled people. I live with my disability and it is part of my life.

An ok vid.... but you totally missed some of the major differently abled... people with PTSD ( all mental situations) , sight challenged and those that are hard of hearing. Eight percent of Canadians are hard of hearing... PTSD I am sure the percentage is higher. I liked “ differently abled “. Any other positive descriptive phrases?
@NotAnotherKuromi

Why do you view the descriptor "disabled" as negative? Why do you view "differently abled" as positive? Considering it is describing the exact same group of people? Does the language change make you less likely to be prejudicial & think of negative steryotypes?

Sammy Ariel To reply to both of you, it changes the way I see myself. Did you both ever consider that I am challenged by both these things in my life? I am. The prefix “dis” is a Latino prefix meaning apart, asunder, away, or having a privatize, negative of reversing force. Words like disaffirm, dis bar, disbelief, dislike, disown. Words are labels, like apple. We learned to label an apple as an apple by the words of our parents from childhood. We don’t call an apple an orange! Dis is a negative associated prefix. I live on my own, and on a fixed income in a large city. I must do things for my survival. I still have abilities and things to offer, don’t discount what I can do. I may have to do things differently then I did, need more time to do a task or communication takes more effort , but in my mind the word has negative connotations. Words are powerful weapons.... just look what Trump has done with his!!! Ps: to clear my mind from the nightmares I had last night has been a challenge to me, but I know that unless I put challenges in my way, I will never be able to redevelop the skills to maybe one day returning to work and better my life.
