Your story as a farrier would be very interesting to watch. Where and how you learned your craft and how you came to work in this field. You have a marvelous way with the horses. I would certainly trust you with mine. I have unfortunately witness abuse of horses by impatient and cruel farriers and it is nice to see someone with a gentle but firm touch.

Awesome video!... Thanks for sharing!... Did you have to shape the frog pad at all before you tacked it on to the shoe? Is it like a soft plastic?... :)

Grant R.D-music- when I shaped the shoe to fit the hoof I had to notch out the heel side of the frog pad a Lil before I riveted on the shoe

The long toe was not corrected, so if the horse was sounder after this shoeing my bet is most lameness as not caused by the lamina failure but from caudal hoof pain. This horse needed frog support because (2:54) the lateral heel is sheered and under run...frog support is needed to correct this, but most of the support provided by the pad is defeated somewhat by the Equi_Pak. Next time try a natural balance shoe with frog support pad or better yet rehabilitate barefoot.

Yes, It's a travesty that the general public will accept this as a proper way to treat laminitis. When you encounter such ancient out of date protocols you need to make the farrier describe in deep detail what is going on inside the capsule. This will expose their lack of fundamental knowledge of podiatry.
