Most practical advice I can give that worked for me. I deleted all my shopping apps and not on social media. Shopping apps = what should I buy that I don’t need. Social media = let me compare myself with others and keep up with the jones’s

This is valid. I am in major consumer debt and only last week did I ask myself the likelihood that I would have bought so much junk in credit were I not addictively online and thus constantly being marketed to in a way that targets my particular weak spots (hobbies, interests, etc.). Social media makes us think everyone else has so much more because it’s effectively a highlight reel. Little do our brains know, those people would buy less if they weren’t internally competing with still others. It’s insane. Just the other day I felt inadequate viewing photos of a friend’s vacation. I was burning with envy. Then I read their post that said that was their first vacation in 8 years and they spent 2 years saving up for it. At that point I realized that I’m being manipulated by the social media phenomenon.

Self-illusion or thinking is like a transparent curtain that adds an extra layer of information to our vision, we see our thoughts but they do not exist in front of us! This is the human ability to see things that do not exist! The problem that occurs in humans is that, when the nervous system contracts, the thinking process automatically begins to think! And because most people have more or less nervous system contractions, they have this extra thought! And in the long run, these thoughts almost become an additional operating system, and it makes its own decisions! If the nervous system relaxes, this process of extra thought will automatically stop and the new human being can see the world as it is without disturbing the mind! After that, it can be understood that creation is predetermined from the beginning to the end day! As consciousness we only understand the life story, and the rest is out of our control!

I find it intriguing that people have so much difficulty to save. For me it's simple: what makes me save and invest as much as I can is the thought that possibly, in some 15 years from now, I'll be able to do whatever I want with my time and still be able to pay my bills.

I love when he says that he is trying to deploy in a couple of minutes 20 years of studying the brain. I think when i see my behaviour is not just my psycology, is also neuroscience and chemical reactions, and digestive system. Today i for example i ate a burger for breakfast with some spicy sauce that make me almost impossible to avoid searching instant gratification during the morning. Why is that? My stomach leading my thinking, my decision making. Other times im fine but honestly my habit is instant gratification like almost all my generation. So i need at least to train it. And change. Other times im nervous and buy a vitamin water with complex b and magnesium and suddendly im relax and patient, my chemical me expressing. So how many factors lead the outcome. Great video i took note the activities he considers key to work on my brain structure to be good on planning at long term. Good work

The truth and the fact of the matter is that tomorrow doesn't exist! It's an imagination about what we think it could be like. In times of uncertainty, we will almost always choose to live in the now! Enjoy life today because tomorrow isn't promised. However, you can get rewards from today that will benefit you in the future that doesn't really cost a lot. It's called exercise, health and emotional well being. In doing so, you save money and improve your quality of life at the same time. 😁

From the book … Mind Power … author … John Kehoe … We might be far more willing to learn how to use our mental mechanisms if we imagined for a moment that for every thought we either gained a dollar or lost a dollar, depending on the type of thought. Considering we think thousands of thoughts every day, this is quite a proposition. Imagine an accounting system noting our every thought and recording which ones gained us money and which ones lost us money. How diligent we would be in controlling and directing our thoughts. How enthusiastically we would create those thoughts which made us money, and how carefully we would avoid those which lost us money.

THIS INSTANT is the only answer. You need to learn how to use language. "You cannot be happy over time." - This sentence does not make sense. Happiness is a cookie your brain bakes for itself. This idea that the more you imagine it, you will realize it and the more motivated you will be. Is just pointing to an agency and not actually explaining how the brain works. I could also say: "The more you look at something, the better models your brain will make about it and you will have better predictions about the future of that model".

I would argue that saving money make sense for investments, then the investments will give you the income that you need when you retire. You can start little, if you have a backyard (or your parents have a backyard) you only need around 20 dollars to buy a fruit tree and plant it. If you can save more money you can buy a cheap lot of agricultural land that will probably increase its value over time. Those are simple examples, but there are many possibilities and many ways to save money through investments.

Future? Seriously? What future? Biology tells : You have to believe to survive .( whatever can be - whatever = religion, politics, american dream, fidelity of wifes ,immorality , life after death, greener weeds...) On the other hand. Poor block knows something : eat chocolate and buy lottery tickets - isn't a american dream? And a winner is...not You. Maybe one day meet some old man would tell me " all my life I was saving and look around still the same slums " Get it or don't . One said : only two problems about money - too much or too less.
