The question was, "I am getting a new "project horse" on Sunday. He is a 14 yr old quarter horse that has been put to pasture for a year and a half all by himself. Nobody has done anything with him in that time. I went to see him today and at first, he seemed very sweet, letting us pet him, I picked up all if his feet, etc... then I turned and started to lead him around and then went to trot off and he EXPLODED! Like rearing, bucking, kicking. I got after him and he stopped so I started leading him again and he did that 4 more times. I know he has not been messed with in almost 2 years but I'm hoping to get some tips, tricks, advice from people that have ideas or maybe have dealt with this before? I am experienced with training horses, but I've only trained my own and they have never acted like that. Any advice would be great!!!"
Thanks for watching! 🤠👍🏻
