Awesome. Thank you! I tried out the early spool option and used the same boost by gear settings in your video and wow! It really does make a big difference. I like this setup!

What mods will you recommend first to get before tuning it? For example I have a 27Won downpipe, PRL Short Ram Air Intake and a muffler delete
@TheAutoDistrict
Жыл бұрын
Well, if you're just going to use a base map from ktuner or hondata, you won't really feel a noticeable difference from bolt ons. A downpipe and intake is going to help a bit with throttle response but in terms of gaining top end power from bolt ons, you'll need a pro tune. The OTS (off the shelf) Tunes, don't take advantage of bolt ons since they're designed to work for everyone regardless of what mods you have. Phearable does offer an OTS tune revision now that will take advantage of your Downpipe and Intake but the OTS tunes from Hondata and Ktuner themselves will not. I'd say with the mods you currently have, go ahead and tune it now. In the future, I recommend getting an Intercooler to help prevent heat soak if you're like me and do multiple pulls all the time.

I heard there was also an option to disable rev hang? Could you go over that or make a video?
@TheAutoDistrict
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, KTuner normally provides that option. Unfortunately, I do believe that it is not compatible with all ECUs right now, so they removed it completely. I will double check for you tomorrow. However, when TSP or Phearable Tunes start coming out, Rev Hang is usually disabled by default. So, definitely try to get your hands on one of those tunes if you aren't already on their list.

Does the k tuner already have the tunes on it?
@TheAutoDistrict
Жыл бұрын
It does come with base maps, yes. It includes approximately 4 or 5 different base maps to use. Each has different boost levels/targets. Some also have the ability to keep stock tune when in normal mode and have more boost in sport mode. The base maps are decent if you're just looking for a bit more power. However, the OTS maps are gonna be quite a bit faster.

I got a RDX 2021 I’m looking for more power but I’m not trynna lose my warranty with the dealer what mods do you recommend
@TheAutoDistrict
2 жыл бұрын
I don't really have any knowledge on what mods are available for the RDX. But if you can find them, I would suggest getting a Downpipe, Front pipe & Air Intake(or atleast an aftermarket air filter) These are the mods where you'll notice the biggest difference. (Frontpipe isn't very noticeable but nice to have)

What happens to you're stock tune? Second you can have tunes on sport mode only, an stock tune on normal?
@TheAutoDistrict
2 жыл бұрын
You can always reflash your car back to stock as both KTuner and Hondata come with a stock tune. And yes, you can setup your tune to only work in sport mode and stock in normal mode. Very easy to do. :)

@@chorizojuice Yes, it's safe to tune it. However, if you're experiencing any issues with your car at all I highly recommend taking it to the dealership to get them resolved first as some dealerships may no longer honor your warranty after you tune it.

Nope, the only reason to keep it plugged in is to have it save the map you're on when you turn the car back on.. If you unplug it, it will default to map 1 when you turn it on. But you can easily switch maps with your cruise controll buttons

@@GGG19911 Lights were coming on? Hmmm not sure what happened there man. I haven't had any lights. Did you install a downpipe or anything? If not, turn it off and on, usually resolves the issue. It could have tripped it into limp mode if you were ripping in 1st gear.

does this nullify any warranties on the car?
@TheAutoDistrict
2 жыл бұрын
Yes. When tuning your car, it's best to assume that you will lose warranty. There are some dealerships that may still help you out depending on what issues the car has when you bring it in for service.
