Great video Kerrod . I now realise I've not been turning my hips enough. I'm from the old school of golf where I was encouraged to keep a flexed trail leg which restricted hip turn. I got away with it but it was inconsistent golf. Only got to a 10 h/c. Your teaching is probably the best online, if not the best. You don't muck about, you speak fast & precise with clear presentation with fixes that really work. Good on you mate. I live near Carnoustie in Scotland & not far from St Andrews . Keep up the good work. We all benefit & never to old to improve. Cheers from bonnie Scotland.

What a terrific instructional video Kerrod! Most other instruction, for the same basic principle, are so much less informative and helpful. They're usually no where near as in depth and visual as yours + you speak in complete sentences with a one to one quality of personalization that empowers the viewer. For sure I saw---in the "dont do it this way" part, that I often did try to turn my hips in the incorrect way. Sweet!

Kerrod, what an excellent demonstration and explanation. Could you continue this one to use the same alignment stick to demonstrate the clearing of the hips. This video shows a relatively level hip turn in the backswing. Do the hips also turn relatively level both in the downswing and in the through swing? What should that feel like? Thank you.

Kerrod, incredible instructional golf video on proper fundamentals for making a good "hip turn" and the great results that come from it! I have always been a "hands and arms" golfer, but as I have gotten into my Senior years I am having more lower back anomalies so I know I am causing injury. I will work hard in 2022 to make a better hip turn a stay connected.

Hi Kerrod, everthing is so clear what you said in your video. What I still do not know is when the trailing hip starts to turn. I think whenever I turn my left shoulder around, the trailing right hip turns as well. So, without the left shoulder turning around, I would maybe have some form of sway. Any comments would be appreciated.

You’re showing the hips move laterally so the stick is simply turning in a circle. That’s weak power. Hips go back and slightly up in backswing - stick should not be parallel. It should turn up in backswing and vice versa on downswing .

Why did you spend 10 minutes with rambling garbage instead of making a 30 second video telling how us to make a proper hip turn: 45 degree angle and use a aid to check it. KZitem is great but people need to learn how to organize their thoughts in a clear, concise and prompt manner
