If I turn off my iPhone's cellular connection, connect the phone to a public WiFi such as in a coffee shop or airport, then activate the phone's hotspot and use my computer (iPad and/or Chromebook) on the internet from my iPhone hotspot, is the data on my computer still vulnerable or does the phone act as a sort of cutout or vpn? I don't type in any passwords in such a situation. Can PCMag (or someone reading this) answer that question?

I'm not too knowledgable about this kind of thing, but I feel like your data should be fine if your using a modern computer especially a mac, but if you still feel unsafe I would download a vpn. Personally I don't like apple computers but I will admit one thing they are really secure.

Please make a video on how to charge your iPhone, I'm really struggling with it right now. I have only got 13% battery 🔋 left on my smartphone . I don't know what I will do once my phone runs out of Juice 🥤.

Sitting here thinking, why pay $100 on internet service when you already paying monthly unlimited internet on your phone for $100+ on your phone that you can use it on your desktop or laptop. Sure. its slower, but as long as you are not using for trading or online gaming is great. The problem is my phone gets super HOT.

Is there any way to make your phone only run internet while hotspotting? In other words i dont want any apps running in the background, no phone calls no texts, no nothing but being a hotspot.

Win 10 laptop so far only showing me options to use my laptop as hotspot, not have my laptop connect to my phone hotspot. All steps taken shown below; Android Moto G Pure trying to use this as hot spot for my Windows10 laptop, using USB cable; >Net & internet mobile, wifi , hotspot > Hot spot & tethering > USB Tethering (laptop still offline) -- Windows10 laptop; Settings >Mobile Hotspot msg; ''We can't set up mobile hot spot because your pc doesn't have an Ethernet , wi-fi, or cellular data connection.'' X In other words, the only option I'm finding with my laptop so far, are to use the laptop as a hotspot, not have the laptop use my android as a hotspot. shrugs...

Androi. Do you know how to set up a phone as a hotspot to allow someone to use it with a password but then block that person from setting up their phone as a hotspot and allowing others to use it, in other words let's say I wanted to sell my hotspot for £1 to user 1 who then opens their hotspot with user 2, can I prevent user 1 from sharing my hotspot

Good question, cause that would tend to drain the bandwidth to about zero wouldn't it, if you have 2 , 3 or more users simultaneously...

What are you talking about? It literally uses your phone as a source of internet to provide for any thing that will work off a wifi connection. That is the definition of mobile hotspot. Which is basically just a wifi connection from your phone to a game console ,computer, tv,TV, whatever.
