Install the unifi controller on a raspberry pi
1. download the latest version of raspbian: www.raspberrypi.org/downloads...
2. unzip the image
3. write the image to an sdcard (16GB class10 or more) with etcher: www.balena.io/etcher/
4. put a file on the pootpartition called ssh (all lowercase and without any extention)
5. insert the sdcard into your rasperry pi and boot it up
6. ssh into your raspberry pi with a tool like putty
7. run the commands:
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get upgrade
- sudo apt-get autoremove
This is to update the packages on the raspberry pi to the latest versions
8. go to community.ubnt.com/t5/UniFi-U...
9. copy the link to the download of the linux version of the unifi controller
10. in the raspberry pi type the command: cd /usr/local/src this is the folder which we are going to download unifi into
11. download unifi by typing: sudo wget (the link we just copied)
12. ls -la to view the file name
13. type sudo dpkg -i (file name) to install unifi
14. resolver the errors by installing the dependencies by using the command: sudo apt-get install -f
15. check if the unifi controller is running by typing: sudo service unifi status
16. if it is running go to your browser and type (unifi ip):8443
things i did to fix my issue:
sudo apt-get install openjdk-8-jre
echo "JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-armhf" | sudo tee -a /etc/default/unifi
JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-armhf
