lol 50 bitrate? Instagram won't let you upload anything bigger than 50mb, and the bitrate they use, according to them, is around 4. I export with 4, looks alright in my phone, but still, Instagram destroys the image quality, they use probably 2 mbs bitrate
@SpencerStanley
Жыл бұрын
I would highly recommend not exporting with 4, that's incredibly low. The reason for the higher bitrate is so that you have more information in your video when its compressed.

@@SpencerStanley probably they refer to the part under Hardware encoding, unchecking the box reveals a dropdown for these numbers ihavezeroideaabout. And yes, everyone on the web, including Adobe's site IIRC, say something different about these settings.

Thank you for the video, I am an artist and I do upload directly from my phone because I don't have a laptop but Instagram compresses the video so much that it can't show the details in my work. This is always so frustrating

They do compress a lot! I know a lot of people upload directly from their phone. Hopefully some of these tips can be applied to the editing software you use.

Hi Spencer, thanks for your video. I tried your settings and also the ones suggested by other KZitemrs but I didn't get a good result. I'm a 3d artist and I tried with a render (4k frames 2160x3840) 😥 ... Maybe the reason is my android phone

Hey Spencer! Would you recommend exporting in 1080 x 1920 for KZitem Shorts and TikTok as well?
@SpencerStanley

Hey Pierce! I honestly haven’t done any research to what you’re allowed to upload there. I would assume they’re 1080P so yes. Maybe see what quality you can upload up to first. Cheers.

@@SpencerStanley Yeah I mean I’ve always exported my KZitem shorts at 1216 x 2160 (that’s the highest option that Final Cut Pro gives me). I’ve been able to upload to KZitem and it seems like the quality is pretty good but I’m just wondering if it would be better if I exported at 1080. I just recently started posting Reels and it seems like the quality is lower than my Shorts.
@SpencerStanley

@@PierceJPeterson the only reason the 1080p quality would be better is because they compress large file sizes. I’m sure it’ll look decent either way though 🤷🏻♂️

This is literally the fifth version of settings recommendation I find on youtube/the web. Unfortunately I don't have the video editing background to understand what does VBR mean and how does the bitrate affect the reel quality for IG in particular, so I guess I'll have a couple of tests and stick to something. Thanks for the vid!
