I’ve been told for so many years that wearing a bonnet as a white girls is cultural appropriation, but you’ve made me realize that it’s hair care! I never realized that white women wore them back in the day! Thank you for educating me and many others on how to care for our hair. ❤

It's absolutely ridiculous honestly. My great grandma and grandma wore silk scarfs at night. Also when they'd go out to run errands to protect from the environment..

So I struggle with depression and other mental health issues. Those issue leave me often neglecting my own care needs- AKA brushing my hair. I’ve found putting on a silk bonnet at night has helped me to be mindful of brushing my hair& taking better care of my hair.

Thank you for making this video, I’m Hispanic and I have naturally wavy hair that gets VERY frizzy (when it’s not frizzy it gets kinda curly kinda wavy) And I never wanted to try this out cause I always been told it’s “not for us” etc etc :/ so seeing this makes me happy that I can FINALLY take care of my hair. I was getting so pissed how frizzy and horrible my hair looked. It’s so damaged and I don’t have my curls anymore:( I hope more people find the confidence and assurance that they can wear bonnets too. This is super helpful (I wish there was more awareness about this in Mexico since a lot of people here also have curly/wavy hair and they don’t know how to properly maintain them cause we don’t have stuff like this here)

Okay, Chicana here (Mexican American...). My hair is naturally very curly, but it gets frizzy after a few days of sleeping on it. I only wash it once a week, because being curly, it's already dry. I think I want to try this bonnet!

Fellow Chicana here. Do it! My hair has always been a cross between wavy and curly, after using a bonnet and proper products, I found out my hair is actually curly. It looks like I use a curling iron on it!!

@@rina3785Chicano here 🤷🏾♂️ my hair is exactly like that lol very curly at the bottom half, wavy top half, wearing this thing to bed helps so much. I even wear it when being tied up under the durag is too tight, I work construction so I don’t like having it out at all during the week days

thanks for the video 💚 i got one of these for myself cuz i wanted some form of protection without having to tie my hair up all night. my hair’s long and straight-leaning wavy and i was having trouble figuring out how to fit my hair in mine completely, but the satin band combo seems like a great solution! can’t wait to see what it can do for me!

I appreciate this video so much! Im a bit upset, since I couldn't find an orange bonnet myself, but I got my first bonnet in today (Ive been debating getting one for about a year now, and Ive recently decided to take better care of my hair and new it would be super beneficial for doing that! The beginning made me feel a tad bit better since, sadly due to everything being so expensive i still live with my parents, and when the bonnet came in via the mail I asked my dad if my package was here and his response was "Yknow thats what black women use for their hair, right?" The amount of internally upset I got the second those words left his mouth. I kinda just went "And? Plus I wanna take better care of my hair." Then grabbed it and straight up just walked away. Your reminder that hair care is for everyone was well appreciated!

I am English with ginger hair and green eyes and it actually took moving to the Netherlands to realise I had curly hair because so many people here have naturally wavy hair. I actually just got an order from a local African fashion and hair store with a bonnet, satin scrunchie and pillowcase and was looking how best to put it on. I got self conscious after a few months and blow dried it instead of diffusing and it is taking me a while to get back to where it was before. Hoping the bonnet and pillowcase helps!

Love this video . So informational. Also super cute intro. I started to brade my hair and wash just 1x per week and saw a huge difference. Turns out over washing your hair drys it out. My hair hasn't grown past my shoulders since high school. I'm praying the bonnet can help cure my dryed up roots and hair breakage. Also many cultures would agree that the hair is another gateway into the soul.

I just ordered mine. I’m so excited to use it. My girlfriend always had the most beautiful long hair. I was always envious of her hair. I happen to stay at her house one night and she put a bonnet on before she went to bed. I never put two and two together until I started seeing your videos. Thank you for sharing this information ❤

I just ordered my first bonnet today and I am excited to see how it helps my hair. I have to keep my hair up for work and my hair can get super oily after two days. But I also have a bunch of breakage

I got the silk bonnet as a treat for myself. I LOVE IT. As you can see from my pic I have waist length CURLY hair. I spent my life braiding my hair so I wouldn't roll over on it (or my husband rolls on it and I can't move). GET A BONNET!! I love her products. They are beautifully made. The only issue I have is I seem to pull it off sometime in the night and I always wake up with it off. ANY tips for keeping it on would be lovely.
