Appreciate any tips you have for filling a Hyperlink field via Power Automate. Most suggestions point to HTTP Post To SharePoint, which is a royal pain to use just to fill in a simple hyperlink with its text value!

I am not an expert in Power Automate, so you are probably better off asking this on a Power Automate forum

Thanks, Dominic, for being my loyal follower. You cannot reuse Site Columns created at the Site Level. For this, you would need to either use Term Store Columns (sharepointmaven.com/how-to-access-the-term-store-from-a-sharepoint-site/) or public Content Types via Content Type Gallery: sharepointmaven.com/how-to-make-the-content-types-available-on-all-sharepoint-sites-via-the-content-type-gallery/

Yes, if you don't use Title Column and use Hyperlink instead

Wow! This is really bad. One would think that someone that wanted to be a top competitor to deliver services would support the ability to display a list of links on one column. But with sharepoint all your list will need a title in one column, and the link in the second when you display it.

I suggest you propose this change to Microsoft

I really found your post useful. I had a question . My requirement is to pre-populate 2 Hyperlinks in the List Form whenever a user clicks "NEW" to fill out a new form. These Hyperlinks would direct the user to some useful resources to help him/her fill out the form. This Hyperlink must be PRE-POPULATED when the user opens the form and is not an entry that the user has to make. IS this possible in a SharePoint list form ?

I doubt this is possible out of the box. I believe might require Power Automate/Power Apps.

Hi SharePoint Maven. Is it possible for the created links to open in a new window? I have links for other SharePoint articles, but they keep opening on the same tab. It is annoying to keep clicking the back button to go back to the lists page.

In some cases (i.e. menu navigation) you can configure links to open in new window, but not in this type of column

Thank you for the tutorial. Is it possible to hide the option +Add Column that's right at the end?

My pleasure. Not possible to hide from site members. But site visitors are not going to see it

Hi Greg Is it not possible to re-use a library to make a list with? Or is there no connection between the two?
