Thanks so much Dave this is really concise. I am getting a lot of ideas from your details on how you rig and Sheet the sail. Mine should be coming in the mail before the weekend and I hope to be able to do a good beamreach with practice, as I hate going too far down wind and having to battle my way back up wind. If I am able to do a decent reach with a little side slippage I can just go back and forth across a bay. What do you find works best on a beam reach? Do you just stick your paddle in the water on the Lee side trying to mimic A lee board or centerboard versus Rudder Strokes? I just feel like my nose of the board will just continue to get blown down wind if there is no resistance
