Thanks so much. Newb here and finally found a video to explain 1...2...3... 😂 Question when you are explaining the jig and the line... A yellow blob appears above the jig line... What's that yellow blob with the red outline? It's at 2:45 right in the middle of screen

It mostly likely a fish swimming into the cone angle or a small bait cloud

There are a lot of fish showing for a boat just sitting there. You must be floating at the aquarium at Bass Pro! 😂

any idea why I cannot see both channels in my sonar settings for transducer type? multi source is selected. 18.2 update currently installed. unit will not take the 20.0 update. when I download 20.0 update to micro sd card, I can see that it is a upd file, but unit but unit says something to the nature that this is not the correct file. currently have a total scan transducer and a hdi 50/200 installed. black connector in structure port (channel 2) and blue connector plugged in sonar (channel 1). unit will not do a hard reset either. if I manually switch back and forth selecting the proper transducer types, they appear to be working and I can hear them pinging. I have not tested them on water yet.thanks for any help.

What size of SD card are you using. The display cannot accept anything larger than a 32gb SD card.

the info you are giving on the 200KHZ 83KHC is not correct.... I'm sorry I don't have the time to give you more info.....but.... the 200KHZ is for deeper water and the 83KHZ is fore shallow water the 200KHZ is a much narrower cone and the 83KHZ is a much wider cone,,,,exp. if you use the 200KHZ in about 30ft of water it will only cover a very small area and not much detail. There would be no fish arche it would only show blobs . if it is set at 83 KHZ the cone would be much wider 30ft of water and the sonar would have more time and would show the fish as a arche

I'm sorry but that is incorrect. 200 khz is specifically for shallow water. Because the frequency of the beam is so closely spaced together, it is not able to travel thru deeper water. 83 is best for extremely shallow or deeper water. It's not really about the cone width and more about its ability to penetrate thru the water due to its sound waves and the way they travel. Using 83 khz in 30 feet of water is not going to be as sensitive and will not show as many fish as the 200 khz or high chirp.
