I think the alternating flashing red should be switched to a synced flashing red, since railroad crossings and school buses use alternating and that means stop. Flashing red beacon means stop then go

Wisconsin Sirens & Signals that is very true, however, an alternative flashing red light gets noticed more and besides, you don't HAVE to go when it flashes, what's bad is some people don't stop when they're 2nd in line, so this is ok for now, after all a flashing res light or lights means to treat as a stop sign, they don't have to be synced, railroad crossings and school buses have their own special laws that turns flashing red lights for those 2 things to symbolize stop, everything else like the hawk signal doesn't mean stop, but instead stop and proceed if clear...it's confusing isn't it?

Every pedestrian corridors should have these...instead of just the signs and amber lights.

The music is too loud. It drowns out the voice of the narrator. Please remix it so the audience can follow the explanation. This is otherwise an excellent animation.

Why did I watch a Robot Cross a Road?

I wanted to actually see a human cross the road but instead they animated it with a robot. I do not know why.

I’ve been living for 26 years and I have yet to see a pedestrian hybrid beacon signal light, in the USofA.

they're relatively new compared with traffic signals, so it might be a while before you see any, unless you travel a lot.

It's because we live in a car hellscape that pretends to care about pedestrians.

I see more pedestrian accidents in Jacksonville Beach with these. Allowing traffic to proceed through a red-light means the boat load of entitled d bags will assume they can go without stopping.

Can anyone provide a good explanation why this weird double-red triangle arrangement is better than a standard green-yellow-red traffic light? It's exactly the same cost, and drivers actually know how to respond to it. It could be programmed with the same logic: No pedestrians: green Pedestrian presses button: yellow Pedestrian crossing: red Often when these get installed, drivers have no idea how to respond to them, creating increased danger for pedestrians: kzitem.info/news/bejne/k46HuWGJaaWLZqQ Just change the light to a standard three-color traffic light and that problem is solved instantly.

Ridiculous! Standard red, green, yellow light above the road. Add pedestrian lights on either side of the road showing when it's safe to cross. No confusion.

I'd like to meet the genius who thinks this is a good idea...to my recollection, there has not been a pedestrian involved accident at this sight...I now predict that some poor child will be seriously injured or kid...at which point, we should prosecute that genius...

Overcomplicated. Either respect pedestrian priority or put a normal signals.
