I was looking at different styles of feather boards to make, I'm glad I saw this video, looks so much easier to use with a better end result! So glad I saw this video!

I've always done it with a featherboard and never had consistent results because of the slight yield in the feathers. Didn't know these were a thing... Might have to grab one!

I agree 26chairs, that was in the instructions for other ways to use it. Also using on the bandsaw, works great. Thanks for watching.

so since you had to use the 3/4 piece of wood to set it up what is the measuring gauge on the jig itself used for ?
@MadNerdWorkshop
Жыл бұрын
you could make smaller adjustments if you were trying to get a piece to fit in precisely in a grove.

@@MadNerdWorkshop right but why couldn't you just set the gauge to 3/4 ? is it not accurate?

I just bought this. I think this is a cool tool but is there a quick way to secure it into the miter slot? I think not and If that baby grabbed and slid forward past the blade it could be messy. So an easy return on Amazon and will get the woodpecker that locks the jig solidly in place.

This one is not designed to lock in, but I have not had any problems with it moving. The bearing allows the wood to move past without moving the jig. Buy you are right, if that bearing starts getting tight, it would become a problem. You can't go wrong with a Woodpecker jig, that's for sure.

Can you use it on the right side of the table
@MadNerdWorkshop
10 ай бұрын
Yes it can be used on either side as long as the table had a miter gauge slot.

Hi Scott, I am using an old Ridgid table saw from Home Depot. Thanks for watching.

The reason for it not being able to slide,is because the bolt in the spreader bar on the underside doesn’t have enough of a shoulder on it to go in far enough to spread the bar. Use a bolt from a feather board and to will open the slider to keep it tight.

It is kind of creepy how closely "they" are watching our computer activities. Not only do I get advertisements for anything I have looked at anywhere (especially at Amazon), and not only do advertisements appear on my computer everywhere, but my wife gets advertisements for things I have looked at and vice-versa. Also, we swear we get advertisements for things we only talked about in the house. That got us thinking about how many electronic devices we have that can communicate with the internet without us knowing about it or that can "listen" to us talking. Let's see ... there is the television, the refrigerator, the floor vacuum robot, my wife's phone (I do not have one), our computers of course, my wife's Honda automobile, the water meter, the gas meter, the electric meter, and even Christmas tree ornaments that complain if they are not hooked up to the internet through blue tooth. I guess we cannot complain that the government never listens to us.
