someone probably mentioned this but your midi would have no latency if you turned monitoring off for the midi track. you have it on auto in the video. same thing goes for audio tracks.

I think if you duplicate your drum track and arm them both to record, but don't have one of them through the monitor it won't have any delay on the one you're not listening to while you record. If it's to expensive to duplicate then you can just take the raw sound and drag it to the effects track.

When I switch from the drum track to one of my synth tracks it will also play the internal piano sound along with my synths. So, I can sequence the drums fine. really the easiest way is to just adjust the midi note per pad on the drums, it really doesn't take very long, you just tap the drum and turn the the note up or down until you get the sound you want. You could see if SSD5 has an Alesis preset or something.

No it doesn’t work that way, piezos need to plug into a drum module which will either trigger a sample or send a midi signal. @@tommyp110 the problem with this is that most modern drum machines that use midi to trigger live drum samples are huge resource hogs and require quite a lot of processing power to do what they do. The drum machines that do what you want them to (work standalone) are like Akai MPCs and have ONE snare sample, ONE kick sample, etc. They are either super limited OR awesome but need a computer to run.
