When is the last time you checked the belly pan of your aluminum travel trailer? Do you need to replace loose or missing rivets on your Vintage Avion or Airstream?
In this video, we are going to be replacing a bunch of missing rivets on our 1973 Avion LaGrande Travelcade belly pan. In our last video ( • How to paint a trailer... ), we noticed there were quite a few missing or loose rivets on our trailer, so we decide to fix the issue before it became a bigger problem like losing a part of our belly pan while driving down the highway.
Until this point, we had never done rivet repair on any trailer, so we had a lot of questions. What kind of rivets to get? What is the best rivet gun? Do I need to seal new rivets? Below is a list of all the equipment, rivets and sealant we got to fix our aluminum belly pan on our vintage trailer.
