Since Benzoyl peroxide is an active ingredient you cannot mix it with other active ingredients such as nicinamide , vitamin C etc.also you cannot apply benzoyl peroxide overnight instead use it as a spot mask for 30-60 mins. And apply it alternate days not continusly everyday!. Hope this helps 😊 Edit - guys im just sharing my skincare knowledge and its not like im a professional or something.

i use benzoyl peroxide 2.5 overnight and it helps reducing acne. idk if that's problematic, but it works. i cleanse, then hydrate with a hyaluronic acid based gel, then benzoyl peroxide on dry skin. then moisturizer.
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
7 ай бұрын
Yes, you should avoid mixing it directly with niacinamide and vitamin C in the palm of your hand. However, you can layer the products if you prefer. You can certainly apply a benzoyl peroxide gel or cream overnight. The method you're referring to can also work, but leaving it on for such a long duration is usually very irritating. The mask option typically involves using a bit more product only on the spots, which can really irritate the skin compared to just applying a thin layer all over the affected areas. Additionally, a cleanser is different from a gel, and you need to wash the cleanser off after a maximum of a few minutes. It contains other harsh ingredients that can really irritate the skin when left on for too long.

Depending on the sunscreen or makeup you wear, it may be best to use a balm cleanser to effectively remove it. However, if your regular foaming cleanser suffices, then that's fine. But I would also recommend using warm water during the entire cleansing process, as it helps to remove the cleanser more effectively. Additionally, if you use a moisturizer, ensure it's a lightweight gel or perhaps a hyaluronic acid serum, like Vichy Mineral 89, so that it doesn't clog your pores again.

Well, if your skin is dry and prone to acne, you can really irritate it, and you may not tolerate it at all. So, you could follow the same method, but using a moisturizer afterward would likely be a must. Still, the moisturizer you choose is also very important, as they often contain ingredients that are too occlusive, leading to new clogged pores. Yes, because this is way too much, especially when doing it for prolonged periods. So, I would suggest cleaning the face with a mild gel-to-foam cleanser, something like Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Cleanser or Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. Then, use the Adapalene 0.1% with Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% gel. If you still feel the need, a gel moisturizer like CeraVe Ultra Light Moisturizing Gel or The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA could be beneficial. Also, the frequency matters, so it's best to use it only 3 or a maximum of 4 times per week, giving the skin a rest day in between. Then, maintain that frequency for some time and adjust as tolerated.

@@ugh.intrvrt1722 Wash your face with a suitable cleanser for your skin type (make sure it's a non-exfoliating acid or benzoyl peroxide cleanser). Pat the skin dry, then apply a thin layer of BP gel or cream to the affected area and leave it on overnight. However, it wouldn't be wrong to rinse it off after 2-3 minutes, as this way your skin isn't exposed to BP for the entire night.

Yes, this can make a difference. However, it also depends on what your skin reacts better to (Salicylic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide, Clindamycin, Azelaic Acid, or a Retinoid...) and what's causing your acne in the first place!

Can I use that everyday? Morning or night?
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
Жыл бұрын
I do that 2-3 times per day, just on the affected areas. I continue as long as there is some stuff in it, and if it becomes too irritated or dry, I pause for 1-2 days and then start again. If that was already sufficient, I just stop and/or target the next area. So, basically, whenever the flare-ups happen, I follow this procedure.

Washing face 2-3 times a day like this will irritate your acne.

It depends on your skin tolerance and what else you may be using. If you're only using a BP cleanser and no other acne treatment, it can work really well - at least for me. I've been washing my face a few times per day (not with a BP cleanser) because of the videos I record, and my skin is fine with it. It's important to use products that suit your skin well.

@@honeycunzz7066I recommend visiting a doctor to get the right treatment. You may think that it is acne when, in fact, it may be a fungal infection. That's at least what I've experienced.
