I show how to use D.I.Y. casting jelly to create a doll face mould for your cake figurines. I used it to make my Princess Ariel & Sofia the First cake topper figurines. This jelly can be melted again & again if kept free from foreign material. More information & a list of materials in the description below. I got the D.I.Y Casting Jelly from here but it's made by Caroline's Sugar Art Services Pty. Ltd.

The doll I used is from Simba Toys and is the basic Ariel Princess doll. You can find it on line in Ebay or Amazon or your local toy store if they stock it. Just google 'Simba Toys Ariel Doll'.
Instructions on how to use the D.I.Y. Casting Jelly is here:
Melt on med. microwave for 1 min. & stir gently, or can be melted over hot water. Place article for moulding (e.g. leaf, fridge magnet, ear ring etc) in a flat container with sides higher than object to be moulded. Pour melted jelly over object to completely cover. If bubbles appear tap container lightly to bring to top. Allow to cool.
When set remove the object from mould. You can then use the mould to press moulding paste, fondant icing, moulding chocolate or cold porcelain into it and smooth over to create what you want. Flex mould and the completed mould of fondant (etc) will pop out.
You can re-melt the jelly ready for your next project.
List of tools & materials is below with information on fondant icing & tylose powder (used as a hardener for fondant and also as an edible glue).

I am using a type of icing called fondant icing which is a type of sugar dough (used on wedding cakes). You can get it from your local supermarket or specialty cake decorating supplier. You can even make it. I usually buy it in white & colour it by using food dyes & mixing it through. There's a video on my channel on how to colour fondant too. Link for how to colour fondant with food dyes here - • How to Colour Fondant
For darker colours like black, bright red & bright green I buy it pre coloured as it's harder to mix the darker colours. These colours in fondant are more sticky due to the dye content so I usually mix a little white fondant through it to make it easier to work with. It can be sticky to work with & changes depending on the weather in your area - it absorbs moisture from the air so can be sticky to work with but it normally dries when exposed to air so you need to wrap excess fondant up in cling wrap and then a zip lock bag.
It may be hard when you take it out of its packaging so you would need to knead it to make it more workable as it warms up and becomes softer and sticker in your hands. To stop the stickiness of fondant you can dust your surfaces with corn flour. It comes in many brands - I use Bakels Pettinence Icing but there are many other brands like Satin Ice and Orchards.
Tylose powder can be used to mix through your fondant so that your figurines set harder & quicker than just fondant alone. You can leave it out but you risk your figurines sagging and not fully drying in time. You can get it online or from your specialty cake decorating supply shops. You can use it to make an edible glue as well. Link here for the edible glue - • How to Make Edible Cak...
