These look great. Im a bit partial to using sausage patties in stead of the ham. With this video im thinking by next season we will probably see you with a flat top griddle . Always new toys to buy 😅. Great video and have a great day. 🌞

I bought similar rings a few years ago, I like to use eggs whole not scrambled for a runny yoke in my sandwiches

@@GallaghersGrub If I remember right you also have a Spirt or Genesis gasser right? Have you got the cast iron griddle for it? I love mine, I have the Genesis 330 that I swap out the griddle when I want to use it, done many items on it. Even Cheese steaks with peppers and onions from my garden. I have not seen others do many videos with a normal grill adding a griddle (except Weber-Q)

@@tobycarlson1640 I briefly owned a Spirit II, but sold it to get the Napoleon. I also own a classic Genesis 1000. I haven't tried the griddle for any of my gas grills except the Q. I would like a bigger griddle though.

@@GallaghersGrub It takes half the grill top with the griddle, also it takes a good 15min heating to get it hot to cook on it. I had the fries in cooking (like oven) while it was heating up and they turned out great too

Towards the end you could pour in a bit of water into the pan and close it with a lid. The steam will cook the top of the egg. That’s how I do my eggs sunny side up.

I agree with his suggestion. Having a lid for your skillet is very important. Glass is great. However I believe a cast iron lid is better because it will radiat mote heat improving the process. 😊

I have a couple of silicone rings and always get leakage. I don't think they're heavy enough to stay flat. But then I don't think metal ones would help me either since none of my pans are flat either. 😄 But that's OK. It all makes it into the sandwich. I have one of those mini waffle makers and sometimes I use those instead of bread.

I use silicone rings sometimes too. I've found if I put a little butter in the ring and let it melt so it's touching the edge of the ring that it sort of seals it and I get less leakage. I usually use a cast iron pan. Obviously everything is nicely preheated as well.

@@GutStringer I wish I still had a cast iron pan. Unfortunately all my mother's were disposed of and I'm too old to learn new tricks. (69...ooof!) The pans I have will last me I think. I use butter too, and also rub some around the inside of the rings. This has made me really hungry for one of those, but I use sausage patties. Canadian bacon is hard to find where I'm at. And we raise a LOT of pork in my state. Go figure!

These are stainless steel so maybe a little heavier. But yeah, some leakage here as well. The weight of the handle seems to pull up the opposite side slightly.
