In the latest version, hexcore mesh is conformal right (In my case it is), as by default it avoids 1/8th octtree transition!!!

Could you please answer me, if I want the polyhexcore mesh being conformal, I can do it by setting the 'avoid 1/8th octtree transition' to yes, right? Thanks very much for your answer. Looking forward to your answer!

But why do one would use a hexcore instead of poly-hexcore if it is inferior in every way?

if you are using CFX solver then you have to because CFX do not support poly mesh, which is sad.
