If I am following you correctly... Each time you send audio out to the next device, there is a D-to-A conversion, then an A-to-D conversion occurring. One inserted device is fine (the only option), but linking one-to-the-next-to-the-next-to-the... Best solution would be to directly connect the next analog device from the previous one. Kind of like a guitar EFX pedalboard. In any event, there will be latency involved with inserting outboard hardware. Either advance the original track or slide the effected print track back.

That is a downside as I don’t have a patchbay, which would definitely give me a bit of a cleaner signal flow. Also, I don’t think most people are using enough analog gear to need one or have the AD/DA effect the signal too much. However because I want use of each piece individually at any point, this is the best solution FOR ME at the moment. But you’re right, and thanks for pointing that out.

I was doing it through bus tracks, but I think I might like this way better.

Yeah once you have a template setup for all your gear it’s a breeze. Just a bit of work on the front end

pipeline with studio one it takes 3 seconds for this operation... with any sound card and with latency compensation....unfortunately luna needs to improve a lot especially on important things like this

I totally agree. LUNA is still early, and is constantly updating. It seems like every time I open it there’s an update

Still annoying. That's why I left Luna for Reaper. Hardware inserts is the way.

It’s definitely a few extra clicks, but you can’t go wrong with the console emulation on Luna and the zero latency of an Apollo

Man...how unprofessional to be cussing during a tutorial video.
