I love to use risers for display but sometimes they are hard to find.
In this video I use IOD moulds and air dry clay to transform three pieces of scrap wood into an amazing vintage-inspired riser that I can use to display our favorite decor-vintage, thrifted, or homemade.

Supplies used in this video are:
A scrap wood riser
Chalk-type paint in black, and brown
IOD (Iron Orchid Designs) moulds-various designs including Trimmings 1 (find your local stockist here: ironorchiddesigns.com/retailers )
Air Dry Clay
Saltwash (It may be at your favorite home-decor supply store or find an online retailer here: ilovesaltwash.com )
Milk paint
I used Sweet Pickins in Sweetwater available here: milkpaint.com/product/sweetwater
Poly Acrylic top coat-I used minwax, your favorite will probably work
Home decor wax in clear and dark
Basic craft supplies such as:
Paintbrushes
Rag
Wood glue
