The reason that the bIIMaj7 and V7 have the same pull to the I is because it's a tritone sub. Great video!

@@johndrowe5281 Talking about the Neapolitan chord at 16:40! It’s a bII (flat II) because the root is a half step below the II. Tritone substitutions are basically a Dominant 7 chord that is a tritone (6 half steps) away from the chord it’s substituting. The V7 chord root is a tritone away from the bIIMaj7. Hope this helps!
