What a great straight forward video. I brew 1 gallon batches and am switching over from bottling to these mini kegs. Thanks for posting this.

Is this a 1-gallon batch or more? Is a 1-gallon fine in a 1.5-gallon keg or is there too much head space?

I just make sure to Burp the keg when I'm carbonating it. This will pump out and oxygen left in the tank. I haven't had any issues with a little head space. I hope that helps!

Usually works best when the beer is cold it takes carbonation much better another thing you can do to speed it up is put the gas line on the liquid post and it carbs it 10X faster with in a 1/2 hr. On that small keg

How long have you been using these kegs for?

About 2 years or so. Before that I was doing bottles plus this DIY system I made for for 5L mini kegs. Do you use them? Any tips?

@@MyProjectWeekend I'm just getting into brewing and wine making. I want to make my own mini keg rendition of what you did. I'm also looking into a 2-3 gallon style system. I would love a 2.5 gallon corney style keg. Im just being cheap. Im cringing at the thought of buying co2,lol. I have an old edgestar mini kegerator and just realized yesterday it has 2 regulators. Im trying to brainstorm a way to use them.

Yeah it’s really the most important part. A sanitary keg is vital however is there something you have a specific question about or want to see? Thanks!

Great! Remember after filling the beer to keg and filling the co2, first prime/release the air out from the keg, so you will get total prevention of oxygen. Of course if you'll drink the perfect batch right after, that could be unnecessary!😊🧊 (And keeping the keg in cool while carbonating, will hurry up the process even more!)
