You for got to crimp or restrict the discharge side to increase contact time.

Don’t worry about it. It’s not that serious. As long as they did a drier and pulled a vacuum you should be fine. He probably did the start up sheet at home lol

Is it Lennox’s official position that flushing line sets on a retrofit replacement with Rx11 is acceptable?? If so please put it in the ODU instruction manual, and inform your trainers of this policy. As a contractor the mixed information is confusing.

Hi Neil Do you have any exprience about rejecting the water and oil from the condenser of an air cooled chiller?

R11 used as a flush to remove the mineral oil that is used on HCFC systems which is not compatible with the 410 refrigerant oil?

I think Nu-Calgon recommends crimping the out-end to increase "back-pressure and turbulence" in the line and therefore cleaning action.

Wrong way to flush out system....you need to crimp ends of copper line set. read the directions on the can

You didn't even show the most important part... hooking up nitrogen and how much to hit with it. I used it for the first time and couldn't get it to flush properly was back flowing

Good video. BUT.... The nitrogen process of pressurizing the tank at 50psi, removing oil traps on systems that may have them, crimping exit points for turbulence, time needed per flush per 50' by diameter, and purging at 150psi (max 200psi) with nitrogen needs to be mentioned in the process!!!

Make your own video then. This video was about the process that he was using. And if you actually watched the full video. He did mention the nitrogen pressurizing at the end. He just didn’t get all technical with it.

How about u have an r22 system going to switch to r410 but evaporator is for r410 do u have to flush the evaporator? By itself or can u do it by cutting the lines outside and flush thrrw the suction side towards the liquid line while the evaporator is comnectec too? Or like i said before isolate the evaporator and flush evaporator 1st then the suction line and liquid line???

Honestly. I’ve only flushed a few systems per owners request. Never had an issue on units I’ve installed without a flush. Not sure if this does anything. Assuming you pull a good vacuum and install a drier. The units range from 7-3 years old and haven’t heard anything from those units. Some have had electrical problems. But not mechanical.

Just flush the whole system, it’s not going to hurt it.

A Doug I appreciate the video. Replacing the condenser and line set from a r22 to a 410a system. The furnace and evaporator were change out 3 years ago. Doug can rx11 be used just on the evaporator? I appreciate your input.
